Adelaide Ingaretta was born a noble. She was raised to look down to the commoners, to think of them as the scraps left over from the evolution of mankind. She was not to tamper with the affairs of those who serve them, she was to let them suffer; for whatever ails them came upon them for their lack of knowledge and personal hygiene. However, she realised that these rules meant nothing.
When she was very young the town she once lived in became a victim of the war. They were surrounded by hordes of orcs carrying torches, spears, and flaming arrows. The orcs considered the town to be a puny setback towards their slow victory, so they decided to rid their upcoming world from this ink stain on the map.
Adelaide watched the whole town scramble in all directions, searching for a safe place to hide. She laughed at their cowardice and despair, she thought that her parents would have everything they needed to survive.
She watched her town disintegrate from her bedroom window, she didn't worry or run from fear, she had high hopes for her family's escape, but when her parents came to collect her they weren't so calm. Her family reacted the same as the rest of the town, when she saw the fear in her parent's eyes she couldn't figure out why they were separated from the commoners. They were all the same.
Adelaide and her family ran through the town dodging arrows and charging orcs, she watched everyone run and scream, calling for their missing loved ones. She saw a girl younger than her crying for her mother, Adelaide stopped and held her hand, but her father pulled her away. They're not worth it! He had told Adelaide.
They continued to run, getting lost in the maze they called their kingdom, but it was merely a trophy they could boast about to fellow villagers to display their true power. Adelaide was being dragged by her mother, and her father was being protected by the 12...11...10 guards. Abruptly, by the gates, the albino orc strolled triumphantly inside the town. It looked around, searching for Adelaide's parents. Her father slumped where he stood, she could see the hopelessness in his body language, she knew he was going to die.
Instead of allowing the albino orc to search for him, which would anger it more, Adelaide's father walked to his death. Her mother screamed at him, pleading for him to turn back and run, but he continued to face his death. Adelaide's mother held her tightly, she told her to close her eyes, but she wanted to see her father finally be brave.
Adelaide had been left with her father's demon, Celtore the Acid Bellower dragon. Celtore is small, yet strong and wise. To this day Adelaide swears she will avenge the death of her father and town, to become a powerful summoner and hope to be one of those who save the world from the albino orc's lust for blood loss.
