As Addie stared at Celtore, trying to figure out why he was acting so peculiar, Othello spoke to her, "So. What is wrong with your demon? Is, er...he, not usually like this?"
Addie held Celtore close to her heart again, the rhythmic beat of it soothed his feeling of anger and the need to protect her. She faced Othello to answer his question, "I think, because I usually keep myself hidden and quiet, he's not used to the number of meetings we've had today."
Othello tilted his head as if wandering why she would hide herself, she replied to this unasked question, "I don't like to talk to many others because of my goal. I want to make sure I stay focused on what I've been longing to do ever since I lost my father at the age of eight. I need to rid the world from the albino orc. He has inflicted too much pain," Addie's enthusiasm on the matter grew, she got engrossed in telling Othello her thoughts about the war.
She looked to the floor, trying to form the words in her head, "If no one is in the right state of mind to fight in the army then the wounds that the orcs open will get deeper, and soon after it will be impossible to clean up the mess we've made. Eventually we may no longer have a world to fight for."
Addie finally looked up, she saw Othello looking at her, cautiously. "I apologize," She smiled at him, reassuring him that she had snapped out of her aggressive, war state of mind, "I tend to go off on a tangent when I think about the war. My parents had never encouraged me to be so negative, but after the albino orc murdered my father, I had to be."
Othello was pleased by her reappearance, he finally had the chance to introduce his demon. He gave Addie a little time to compose herself, then he pointed at the golem and told her about him, "This is Solomon, he's my stone golem. He is only young and not very strong, but Seraph tells me that he will be super strong when he is fully grown." Othello stood proudly and allowed Solomon to move forward from behind his left leg, he looked at Addie, waiting for her to tell him about her dragon.
"Well, this is Celtore, he is an Acid Bellower dragon. He was my father's, but when he died my mother passed him down to me. He is strong, and his acid is too," She pulled up the sleeve to her left arm and revealed a burn scar, "I got this when we first introduced each other. He was still shaken up, like me, after the ordeal. I was attempting to lure him to me, but I got a little close and he used a warning attack to keep me away."
Othello looked at the scar in surprise, "That was just a warning attack? I'd hate to be around him when he's in full flow."
Addie chuckled, then continued to explain, "Celtore can be a little stupid at times but, like you saw earlier, when he's not stupid he's aggressive." She paused for a second, then asked, "Who's Seraph?"
Othello had gotten excited when he was able to explain that Seraph was one of his new friends, "He's one of my new friends, he is very intelligent, sometimes a little too big headed, but you can easily cope with it." Othello then came up with an idea he thought was amazing, "Why don't I introduce you to him, and my other friends?!"
Addie wasn't sure at first, but she thought it would keep her out of the way of the other second years. She agreed to follow him. Othello took Addie's hand and they made their way to Seraph's dorm. Celtore flew behind them and Solomon waddled along. Celtore watched the golem struggle to climb the stairs and reluctantly carried him in the air, following the two new friends.
