Fiore, the city where the greatest guild is said to be placed. Fairy Tail. For long as anyone could remember, they had dominated the land and their mages and wizards were considered to be the top of the top. Their S class heroes such as Mirajane, Erza, Laxus, Gildarts, and most of all, their master Makarov who was one of the 10 wizard saints, were well-known across the whole of Fiore. It was a guild where strong mages were nurtured and they held the importance of family more than anyone. At least...that's what everyone thought.

A young 16-year-old by the name of Lucy Heartfilia walked along the riverbank humming to herself in the dew of early morning.

"Miss Lucy! Be careful!" a merchant called out on a boat.

"I will!" Lucy replied back with a smile as she waved at them.

She was the sunshine to many of the people that lived in the neighborhood and her presence alone brought great joy to them. Everyone loved her. Grandparents, kids, animals...they would gather around her each time and hug her or give her something to which she would always humbly accept them and thank them each time.

"On your way to the guild again, Lucy?" a granny called out to her.

Lucy turned to her, walking towards her and smiling. "Yep! How's your back these days, granny?"

The old woman laughed. "It's better these days thanks to the medicine you've been giving me."

"It's great to hear that you're doing well," Lucy replied cheerfully. "If you run out of the medicine again, make sure to tell me. I have a whole pack more back at the house."

"Will do," the granny replied. "Lucy, you're so kind and dear to us. Always looking after us no matter who we are."

Lucy smiled and blushed. "I just like taking care of people. Since my mom used to be frail, I've gotten used to taking care of people. It makes me happy to see everyone doing well after all."

The women smiled as she looked at the young and precious Lucy, who resembled a flower bud that hasn't been bloomed yet. If only she could find someone to love her; then, she'd bloom into the grand and beautiful enchanting flower that she was meant to be. The woman sighed in happiness as she thought of the day where Lucy would walk down the streets with her lover instead of always walking down by herself.

"You should be going on your way to the guild, yes?" the granny asked.

"Yes. That's right," Lucy said with a smile but her eyes seemed to have said something else. Fear and sadness were painted in them.

The woman frowned a bit. "Lucy, is something wrong? You seem to look sad each time you come back from there. Is everything alright?"

Lucy opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but immediately shut it up and put on a mask.

"Everything's alright, granny," Lucy said smiling. "I'll see you later."

Lucy bid her a goodbye and rushed off in the direction of the guild. The granny raised out her arm, wanting to stop her from going, but seeing that she was out of reach, put her hand back down. Her eyebrows were now furrowed together as her lips formed a tight frown. She went back inside her house, her minds full of thoughts as she glanced out the window to see the Fairy Tail guild standing upright and tall. Little did she know, that that was the last time she would see Lucy walking so happily down the streets.
