Mavis looked towards the still unconscious Fairy Tail members and sighed. If punishment was to be carried out, then those people that were guilty should at least be conscious. She waved her hand and golden dust-like particles spread around the room. Slowly, the members began to regain consciousness, though their bodies were still in pain.

"Lucy," Mavis called out, a smile on her face.

Lucy looked towards Mavis, wondering who had called her out in such a nostalgic and familiar voice. Upon seeing the first master, her petite unchanging physical body, and the sad but longing look reflected in her eyes, Lucy squinted her eyes as she tried to contain the overflowing emotions inside her. Laxus released her as she clasped her hands over her mouth, tears flowing down her cheeks.

"Ma...vis," Lucy hesitantly said.

"You're still the same old Lucy that I knew back then. Didn't change a single bit," Mavis smiled, putting out her arms. "I missed you."

Lucy shook her head, the pearls swinging by the side of her hair as she stumbled, trying to get to her. She knelt towards the ground and hugged Mavis, crying into her arms.

"I missed you! I missed you so much, Mavis!" Lucy cried.

Mavis smiled knowingly for she, too, had missed her to the point where reuniting hurt. She stroked Lucy's head, just as she did when she was a child, with affection and care as Lucy continued to cry in her arms.

"Being able to see you one more time...there's nothing more that I would wish for," Mavis happily said as she felt the warmth of Lucy one more time.

"No, being able to see you once more is one of my greatest wishes," Lucy said, her voice choking as she apologized. "If it weren't for me, then none of that would've happened."

Flashback~

"Grandmother Mavis, I'm going out! Let's meet again in the near future!" the young teenager cried out as she happily waved good-bye.

That year in her previous life, wanting to roam the world and see the beauties of it, Lucy had set out of the space that confined her. Being a naive girl full of innocence and purity, she attracted many that wished to protect her as well as those that wished to use her. Her trust in people was what brought her downfall in that life, too.

"Lu...cy...?" Mavis stuttered, her eyes shaking with fear.

Lucy laid in the field of flowers - broken. Blood poured from her body, staining the field of flowers she laid on, dying it a crimson red. Even the rain that poured down from above couldn't erase the redness. Mavis was petrified. Her beloved granddaughter laid before her; lifeless and unbreathing and seeing so, Mavis screamed out loud in agony.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhh!!!" she cried, her sobs echoing through the rain as tears of anguish and frustration mixed with the pureness of the rain.

Her mind was set on nothing but Lucy and the anger she held was so great that she activated Fairy Law unconsciously. Her blood was boiling with nothing but revenge for her granddaughter. A blinding white light illuminated the cold damp country and about half a country's population was caught up in it and died. But even so, time can't rewind. She was dead.

Wait until her next rebirth, a voice echoed in her mind. There's a possibility that you'll be able to meet your beloved granddaughter again.

"Will she come back to me?" she asked, her voice empty and hoarse.

But no voice replied back to her desperate plea. However so, she grasped onto the hope that the voice had given her and continued going on her way. For the day that she'll be once again reunited with Lucy.
