[Duskstar's POV]
I woke up the next morning after the gathering. It was interesting last night with all the other leaders arguing. I just hoped it wouldn't come over to my territory. I was good for now. We didn't need any fights anymore. The last time we had a battle, we got taken over and I had to step up as the leader. Now I had kits with Snowingblaze and I didn't want them to get hurt. I had some ideas so I made sure my deputy didn't send the morning patrol out yet.
"All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather under High Rock!" I yowled making some of the sleeping cats come out of their dens. Some where already up but not many. I saw some of the cats where there so I continued.
"I believe it had been long enough that three apprentices we have the at the moment should become warriors. I have watched their training and I believe it is time for them to get their warrior names." I said as waited for the cheering to stop.
I also had plans to give the kits mentors since they were almost at six moons now. A few days before wouldn't hurt anyone since I was sure the clans would be at war again. I cleared my throats and continued again.
"Waterpaw, please step up at this time. You have fought hard for this clan and I believe it is time for you to be given your warrior name. You shall be called Watersplash. I hope you continue to serve this clan well." I said proudly looking at the brand new warrior as cats started to cheer her name.
"Watersplash! Watersplash!" They cheered out from a few impatient warriors but more started to call out as well.
"Wolfpaw, please step up at this time. You have also fought hard for this clan and I have watched your progress. I believe it is time you have your warrior name. You shall be called Wolfhowl from this moment on. I help you continue to defend this clan with your life." I said watching the grey tom step over to the female that he had been hanging out a lot with and gleam with a prideful smile.
"Wolfhowl! Wolfhowl!" More warriors started to chant and I realized there was no way I was going to get them to wait until the end for the cheering. I let out a small chuckle and waited for it to all die down.
"Last but not least at all, Stealthpaw step up at this time. You have fought hard and been a good spy. I'm glad you decided to join the clans and I love your process. It is time for you to gain your warrior name. From this day on you shall be called Stealthstep. I hope you continue to serve your clan well." I said as I watched the last of the apprentices step up with his two other friends with proud.
"Stealthstep! Stealthstep!" The warriors all cheered loudly. I smiled watching them with pride and started for the kits.
"Now, it may be a few days early but I believe we are in need of some new apprentices. Pinekit, please step forward. From this day on until you earn your warrior name you shall be called Pinepaw. Your mentor will be Smallshadow.
"Hawkkit, from this day on until you earn your warrior name you shall be called Hawkpaw. Your mentor will be Falcondust.
"Featherkit, from this day on until you earn your warrior name you shall be called Featherpaw. Your mentor will be Stealthstep.
"Goldenkit, from this day on until you earn your warrior name you shall be called Goldenpaw. Your mentor will be Eaglecloud.
"Skykit, from this day on until you earn your warrior name you shall be called Skypaw. I will be your mentor." I yowled hoping all the apprentices liked their mentors and all the mentors liked their apprentices. I was glad to have another apprentice and I believed Skypaw would be a good one.
