[Midnightstar's POV]
Once we finally found Witheredpaw I decided to get on with the ceremony. Maplesnow can be found later. This needed to happen. I looked at the six apprentice in front of me and smiled at them all. They had grown so much since they were kits and they were now ready to be warriors. I took a final breath before starting the ceremony.
"All cats old enough to gather their own prey, meet under High Rock. There are six apprentices that have learned quickly and I believe it is time to make them warriors. We will start with the naming ceremony now." I yowled as I watched the few stragglers come out of their dens and settle on the sides or in the back.
"Deerpaw, come forward. You have fought hard for your clan. You have also trained well and might be one of our best hunters. For the scar you received defending your siblings and clan, you earn the warrior name Deerscar. May you keep defending this clan until your dying breath and then help our clan still in StarClan.
"Honeypaw, come forward. You have trained hard in your clan and have come a long ways since you just became an apprentice. You seem to care about everyone and make sure they are okay. From this day on you shall be called Honeydrip. May you keep defending our clan and helping everyone until your final breath and then still continue in StarClan.
"Icepaw, come forward. You have trained very hard and I'm proud of you. You are an excellent fighter and a great hunter. From this day forward you shall be called Icehowl. May you forever fight for this clan until your dying breath and continue to lead us on the right path in StarClan.
"Sunpaw, come forward. You have trained well. I see the courage in your eyes and excitement when you are taught a new fighting technique. I believe you have great potential both in being a warrior and being a mentor. From this day on you shall be called Sunstream. May you always lead this clan and help those that struggle behind until your final breath and then lead us the right way in StarClan.
"Volepaw, come forward. You came from a big family but didn't let that stop your limits. You surpassed them and keep learning even today. You have one of the best noses in our clan except Nugget or Creamspots. From this day on, you shall be called Volenose. May you keep honoring your clan until your dying breath and keep doing it in StarClan.
"Witheredpaw, come forward. I'm sorry neither of your friends could be here today. You were the one too many in your litter and quickly made friends with Tinyclaw. I hardly ever saw the two of you separated or when you included Maplesnow into your group. You have been torn between your loyalty between your friends and your clan. For that, you are one of the most loyal that believes you can choose your family. From this day on you shall be called Witheredsoul. May you forever serve those you are loyal to and lead them on the right path." I said and heard the cheering below me for the new warriors.
Witheredsoul took a small look around before looking at his paws. I could see the small smile on his face and I almost wanted him to go and find his lost friend but I knew he couldn't.
