[Deerpaw's POV]
I headed back from my small patrol and saw Metalclaw's patrol back with some scratches. I looked for my sister but I didn't see her right away. Soon I spotted the bloodied body of her that wasn't moving. My eyes widened and I ran over to her and Lighntingstrike who was next to her.
"Flowerpaw!" I said pushing my head to her cold fur. I took a step back realizing she was truly dead. I looked up to Lightningstrike who just sighed next to her.
"I'm sorry. One of the other warriors got to her before I could save her. I was trying to defeat the one that attacked me before I got to her. I should have gotten away from her then went to save her, but I didn't. I'm so sorry Deerpaw." The tom said hanging his head down. I looked up at him and smiled.
"It's okay. Not everyone can live. I'm just happy everyone else is okay. Thank you for trying anyways." I whispered to him before looking for my other siblings. Witheredpaw was still missing but I found the others.
"Cheetahpelt, have you sent out any patrols that haven't come back yet? I believe I have a ceremony to preform. It's enough time since these apprentices have tried their best and suffered plenty." Midnightstar's quiet voice said over to the spotted deputy.
"No, they have all come back but there have been no sightings of Witheredpaw or Maplesnow. Do you think they ran away?" Cheetahpelt asked the leader. I turned my head and walked over to them.
"If you need to, send a patrol to find them." Midnightstar said before looking down at me. "Hello Deerpaw. Is there anything you need?" She asked.
"I just wanted to say that I did scent Witheredpaw's scent when we went to EverClan's border but it never crossed the border. It was fresh too. I think he's still in the territory just hiding." I said slightly nervous from talking to the leader. It was true, I was almost positive I scented my brother but I didn't know where he was.
"Hm, do you remember where exactly?" The black female asked me as her eyes scanned the rest of the camp. I could only imagine what she was thinking.
"Yes, I remember it. I can show you." I said keeping my head up. Would she let me lead a patrol? Probably not. No apprentice had ever lead a patrol.
"Alright. Cheetahpelt, go find three or four able warriors and come back here. We can at least find Witheredpaw for sure. We will have to try again for Maplesnow later." She said before sending the spotted warrior away. I looked up at her and blinked my eyes.
"What if they are both on her side? They won't be punished, will they? They were her best friends and always with her. It's only natural they would want to be with her." I said nervously not wanting my brother to be in trouble.
"No sweetheart. They won't be in trouble. I'm sure they are just trying to think everything through and that's why they haven't come back. I'll tell Cheetahpelt to have some patrols go around the border for no clan's territory and make sure their scent hasn't crossed over as well." She purred before I saw the warriors coming back with Cheetahpelt.

Poor Flowerpaw. She's dead. Oh well. Too bad.
