The Battle Inside

Chapter 7

Kevin POV

Scott, Alex, Esther and I had something special planned for the two lovebirds. We decided to let Mitch and Ryan in on it too. I asked one of our bodyguards to go out there and to ask a few fans to come backstage. He nodded and walked out. A few minutes later he came back with three girls and two guys. I walked up to them and thanked the guard.

"Hey guys! If you're wondering why you brought back here, it's because we wanted to see if anyone wanted a song request. Do you have any?" I asked.

One of the guys spoke up. "Would it be fine if you guys could do Forget You/Since You've Been Gone?" The other four nodded their heads furiously.

"Of course! In fact, that's perfect! After that song, we are going to be doing something special because it's nearly Christman. Would you guys be willing to do something for us? And maybe tell other fans to do this?"

I then proceeded to tell them what I asked for. 

"Yeah, sure! We can do that for you." They said simultaneously.

"Thank you...?" I asked for their names.

"Ian." They boy that requested the song said.

"Anthony."

"Melanie."

"Kalel."

"Mari." (Yes, that was a Smosh reference if you were wondering)

"Thanks guys. See you when we get out there!" We exchanged hugs and said goodbye. I spun around on my heels and clasped my hands together. Let's hope everything goes according to plan.

Mitch POV

Where the hell are Avi and Kirstie? They were supposed to be here an hour ago, and the show is starting in half an hour! I can't wait until Esther gives them the scolding of their lives. I hear a car engine outside stop and car doors opening and then slammed shut. I ran to the back door at the same time as Avi and Kirstie walked in.

"Oooohhhh you guys are in trouble!" I sang.

They gave me a death glare and Kirstie whacked me. "Shut up. We were watching Sherlock." She muttered.

I laughed and followed them. Esther spotted them and stormed over. "Where were you two?! You guys know you were supposed to be here an hour ago! And don't give me any excuses. Once this show is finished, you two are sooooo dead."

Wow, she must've be really angry if she's waiting 'till after the show. Esther usually just gives us a small talk before and leaves us alone. Avi and Kirstie mumbled a sorry and we look for the others. Kevin found us first and gave Avi a questioning look. Avi just shook his head and looks away.

"Hey. Just wanted to let you know that we got a song request. So after Thrift Shop, Scott is going to introduce the song and we're going to sing Forget You/Since You've Been Gone. Then we're doing Mistletoe. Sound good?" Kevin said while handing Avi the misteltoe.

"Yeah, sure." They mumbled.

Avi snatched the mistletoe from him and shoves it into his jeans pocket. We get our mics and take our places on stage. I look over at Kevin, giving him a look as if I was asking him if the plan is ready. He nodded back and gave me a thumbs up.

Avi POV

Scott stepped forward and introduced the song. "Now, we don't usually do this, but we have a special song request. A few lovely people in the front row right here," he pointed at five people in the front row, "requested that we sing this song. This is Forget You/Since You've Been Gone."

The crowd went crazy once he said the song name. Just before he started to count us down, I asked him a quick question.

"Are we going to be doing the same choreo as the Sing Off?" He doesn't reply, he just smiles and gestures for me to go back into position. I sigh, knowing that means 'yes'.

Scott began counting down and I start us off. We start doing what we do best, not the choreo part, just the singing (A/N Hehehe XD). Then came the part where I have to put my arm around Kirstie and 'act' in love with her, which was not hard at all. Every single part after that when we had to hold hands was just magical.

"Since you've been gone." We finished with Kirstie and I holding hands. Our audience, already standing up, screamed and clapped loudly.

Scott brought the mic up to his mouth once again and spoke. "Have any of you seen the Sing Off Christmas episode?" The crowd cheers. "Then I'm sure you'll recongnise this arrangement."

Scott and I started to sing Mistletoe. Well, he started to sing, I just did my 'do bops'.

We were all next to each other, harmonizing. "Imma be under the Mistletoe." We end as I took the mistletoe out of my pocket and held it above Kirstie's head. She turned towards me and gave me the biggest smile. In the corner of my eye, I saw Kevin give a small nod to someone in the audience. Immediately a small chant of people "KISS!" started. It just kept getting bigger and bigger and soon enough everyone in the venue was chanting, "KISS! KISS! KISS! KISS!"

Both of us faced the crowd and shake our heads. "Come on guys, really?" I question.

"It's what the people want." Mitch gestures at everyone.

Kirstie and I turn back to face each other. I started to blush a deep red and she did the same. I raised an eyebrow and she just shrugged. I pulled the mic back up to my face and I talked into it. "If it's what you guys are really desperate for, then fine." I bring it back down to my side and took a step closer to Kirstie. She took a step closer as well so that there was no space in between us. I reached up with my hand and placed on the back of her neck. She whispers something but I couldn't hear what she said because the crowd was screaming. Kirstie nods and we both leaned in, smashing our lips together.
