The Alphas meeting was so stressful. I sat in a room two weeks straight with a group of weak Alphas that were afraid I'd challenge them for the property. Weakness is absolutely pathetic to me. You can't lead being weak.

"Are you close?" Isabella mind linked me.

"Yes get ready for the pack lunch, make sure the Phillips know they'll be present."

"Okay, Sapphire is the best can't wait for you to meet her." She ended the conversion.

I never knew the day would come when I'd grant protection over a grey wolf. The alphas from the other pack brought it up at the meeting. Not all of them want her dead some want too use her. I was given so many offers for land in place of her and man was it tempting. If it weren't for the relationship and respect my parent had for Amanda and Josh I would have sold her for free.

Amanda was like a second mom to me when I was young I remember her days of babysitting me. She was there for me when my mom and dad were killed in front of my eyes. For that I'll forever be grateful. The least I can do is help them out when they need it.

Finally arriving home I got out of the car and was greeted by Derek my Beta.

"What's up bro! how'd the meeting go?" He knows he's not suppose to address me that way. But he's been my best friend since birth.

"Nothing new Derek. How were things while I was gone?" We walked up the stairs as we talked.

"Nothing much, your sister seems to have made a new friend. I guess that give you something to look forward to."

"Bella made a friend? " that's not like her at all.

"Yea her and little grey seem inseparable." If she's anything like Bella I don't know if I can handle it.

"Little Grey? So you've named her." I arched my eyebrow questioning him.

"Only because I know she hates it." Derek is 22 the same age as me but he can tend to act younger.

One we entered the pack house we headed straight to the kitchen. When I entered the pack began greeting me. Before I could greet them as a whole an enticing scent floated through the air. It smelled of sweet fruits making me to turn in the direction it came from. The smell was coming from the back of the kitchen in the corner.

"MOVE ASIDE!!" Immediately everyone cleared the path.

As the last person stepped aside I saw her. OUR MATE! My wolf howled in my head. She was... Beautiful. Her ocean blue eyes were big and bright it was hard not to get lost. I just wanted to devour her plump lip that was currently being nipped on due to her nervousness. Looking down at her body almost made me lose control. Until I noticed her long flowing hair that was spread over her shoulders. It was a silver grey. She's the grey wolf.

Anger boiled through me as I slowly began to approach her. She tried bagging up but soon realized she was already cornered. When I got close she tilted her neck up to see me.

"You're weak." I felt the pang she got in her chest.

I'd blame it on the fact that she's a grey wolf but I knew it was because of our bond. She looked young and I can't remember how old Amanda said she was. I'd never imagined finding my mate but if I did I'd hope she'd be the same age as me or at least some what legal. The moon goddess must hate me.

"How old are you?" I saw her gulp before she parted her lips to answer me.

"17" That's it I lost control. I punished the wall and felt it crumble under my fist gaining a scream from her. I used my wolf speed and left the room. How can I get someone so young and weak. I've built this pack from ground up and this is what I get in return.

How am I expected to love something so innocent when I've done things worst then the imaginable. She's too weak and young to lead the Black Moon Pack with me. I went outside and shifted into my wolf and sprinted off in no particular direction. While I ran I tried my hardest to clear my head but she was taking over my thoughts. My wolf wanted me to go back to her but I couldn't.

After an hour of running I headed back to the pack house. Derek was outside waiting. He handed me clothes so that I could shift back. When I entered my office Isabella hopped down from my desk.

"What the hell is wrong with you Kaydon? Congratulations on scaring your mate half to death." Isabella was following me around as I collected paperwork from around my office.

"It's not my fault your little friend got frightened." I nonchalantly responded while I kept myself busy.

"I'D BE SCARED TOO IF I'VE LIVED AROUND HUMANS MY ENTIRE LIFE AND I JUST WITNESSED A 6'4 GIANT NEARLY END MY LIFE."

"You're making it bigger then it is if I wanted to end her life she would know it.... Actually she wouldn't because she'd be dead."

"I'm not making it bigger then it is Sapphire knows nothing about having a mate and the first impression she gets is terrifying."

"She's weak Isabella, you know there's no place for her here. I expect you to know that more then anyone." Her face dropped.

"You know Kaydon she isn't weak she's just been told that her whole life so she excepts it. Yea she might not be as strong physically but she's the only person I know that keeps a smile on her face even when everyone looks down on her. She doesn't let a title determine how she treats people." I kept my back turned to her until I heard her exit.

As the day went on my wolf grew restless and just wanted to see his mate. Night time finally came and I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep. I had a bad nagging feeling that I couldn't understand. I knew it was the pull of out bond but something was going on.
