Forever Grey

Chapter 9

They were holding a knife to Bella's neck as I struggled to free myself from their grip. My dad and mom was on the ground laying in a pool of their own blood. Tears streamed down my face as and I was trapped and too weak to do anything even though I wanted to help so badly. I could hear my screams and cries to the enemy telling them to let Bella go but they didn't listen. The knife quickly glided across her neck and the dark blood poured out as she collapsed to the floor... Sapphire...Sapphire...

I jumped up when i felt someone shaking my shoulders. When I looked around I noticed it was morning and I was in Kaydon's room. I was having a dream.

"Sapphire, is everything okay?" It was an older lady leaning at my bedside. I knew she was one of the maids in the pack house because I have seen her in the kitchen preparing food.

"Yes, yes i'm fine thank you." I smiled to quickly reassure her." The look she gave me showed she did not buy it.

" Are you sure honey? Your were just crying in your sleep. I can knock and tell the Alpha, if you need him." She motioned to the bathroom door inside the room. I could hear the shower and realization dawned on me that he was showering.

"No i'm fine. I'm sure. I'll just head out and get dressed." I quickly got out of the bed and hurried out of the room.

I didn't want Kaydon to come out and see me crying like a helpless child. Besides, he might also regret the kiss from last night.

When I got back to Bella's room she wasn't inside. I look at the time and remember that it's when the pack members were scheduled to prepare to leave for the the Pack Games. I decide to quickly shower to try and get rid of my puffy eyes from crying. After my shower I got dressed in a grey t-shirt, black tights, and black vans. I call my dad to wish them luck on judging the pack games.

Instead of coming back here from their friends house they are going to just meet the pack at the Pack Games location. They seem super excited about everything. I can tell they miss the whole pack life. I'm the only thing that took them away from it.

I head downstairs in search for Isabella. Soon, I find her outside by the buses with Sebastian.

" Where were you last night i woke up around 4 in the morning and you were gone." She gave me a hug like I hadn't seen her in days.

" You kind of took over the entire bed so I decided to sleep on the couch." The images of me staying in Kaydon's room immediately pop into my head.

"Hmm that is funny little grey I could swear I sat on the couch all night  keeping eyes on the pack house." Sebastian words cause me to pause.

Bella's throws me a curious glance.

" So you didn't sleep on the couch last night?"  Before I have to answer we are interrupted by the very voice that can lull me to sleep.

" It looks like everybody has loaded the bus with the exception of you two." Kaydon walks up to our small gathering with an irritated tone.

His glance falls on me and his eyes roam my face.

"Have you been crying?" He eyebrows crinkle with concern. How can he notice I thought the puffiness subsided.

"No... So, Bella what day are you coming back?" I try to change the subject.

"Ill answer your question when you answer mine." My cheeks were heating up at the thought of telling her I spent the night in Kaydon's room even though we didn't do anything "that" serious.

I don't even know if he'd want them to know. Considering how embarrassing he seems to be of me.

"What question?" Kaydon asked his sister in a agitated way.
