All these comments I get on here make me happy. And y'all seem to love this book a lot, idk why. I admit it's my favorite to write but it needs work.

Low-key want to do a m!preg fanfic but high-key hate writing & talking about smut.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Words: 1718 (The ending is a bit rough but it's suppose to be that way.)

Drew and I had been meeting up at Teresa's house every few days for the past month. Nothing changed in my daily life, though. I still prepared breakfast in the mornings and ran the bakery until night. But a few nights a week I would have dinner with Teresa, Elizabeth, and more importantly, Drew.

Drew was something else.

Sometimes he would stop at the bakery and order bread and the 3 main meats we carried. He would always keep a awkward but more professional cool around me in there. Diane spent most of her days sat in a stool at the entrance of the bakery.

She would approached Drew every chance she got and would flirt terribly.

He would play it cool. He'd reply and smile but he always denied her flirting and would walk away.

She'd always huff after he walked out, send me a glare, and then take the money I made that day and walk out.

After a while I started to see Diane coming home with extremely expensive looking silk dresses and some fabrics. Her and step-mother would always be seated in the living room cutting and sewing fabrics together. I think they had some strange fantasy that Drew would sweep Diane off of her feet if she looked more expensive and lady-like.

Too bad they couldn't do something with her nasty personality. She would be lucky to get a horse to marry her.

I had a feeling today was going to be different. Call it an intuition.l if you will.

"Thank you, Zayn."

I almost dropped the water jug at the thanks and looked at my step-mother, sending her a nod and a forced small smile. "You're welcome."

"When you are finished at the bakery tonight, Diane, Riley, and I will not be home. The Queen is hosting a party at the palace tonight. All I request of you is to not attend and embarrass this family," she spoke gently as if talking to a baby.

I felt a real smile form on my lips, Drew and I could meet tonight and not have to sneak behind my families back. "Of course, mother. I will remain at home."

"Good, and please have the house clean by time we return. I want no dirt or dust on the floor."

"I would have it no other way."

She nodded and shooed her hand at me. "Get going, now."

I nodded and placed the water jug on the table and went to rush out of the house.

"Oh and fetch some fresh hot water, will you? Diane needs to look delectable. Since Drew seems to have no interest in her, she will try and capture the attention of the prince tonight."
