Today's was a very unexpected day and before I knew it, Kurt was throwing up just after his nap.
"Alright sweetheart, let it all out, good boy" I coo as he threw up in the bucket. I think it was his lunch and maybe some of his juice that he had his nap with.
"Daddy" he sobs as he looks at me before quickly throwing back up into the bucket.
"You're ok sweetheart, daddy will get you some water to help you after you've finished, you're doing good baby, just let it out" I soothe him as I rub his back.
"Finn?" I call out.
"Yeah" he walks in.
"Can you please grab me some wipes and get Kurt a sippy cup of water with a little bit of ice?" I ask him.
"Yeah sure" he says as he leaves the room and I hear him go downstairs.
"You finished?" I ask him as he lays his head on my arm.
"Eah" he croaks out.
"Alright baby, I'll just be in your bathroom just to quickly rinse this out, alright?" I tell him and he lets me go, I quickly wash out the bucket before going back to see Finn wiping his face gently and giving him some water as he sits with him.
"Thanks Finn" I say as I bring the bucket back in.
"No problem" he replies.
"Why don't you come downstairs where we can watch him better and do more things rather than just sit here" Finn suggests.
"Sure, I'll give Kurt a quick bath and change of clothes and then we will be right down" I tell him.
"Alright, I'll get things settled out on the couch, like blankets and pillows and all that" he tells me.
"Alright, see you in a bit" I tell him.
"Ok, see ya" he says as he leaves the room but taking a couple of Kurt's blankets for a wash and some other ones to use.
"Let's have a quick bath and put you into some fresh clothes" I coo at him as I take him to his bathroom once Finn left.
"Dum" he mumbles into my shoulder.
"Yeah, you can have your dummy but after your bath" I tell him as I start to run his bath. It was soon how I wanted it to be so it didn't burn him or make him cold, but enough so it can get his temperature down at least just a little bit. I then strip him from his clothes and place him in the bath.
"Daddy" he starts to cry.
"You're alright baby" I soothe as I quickly try and wash him. I do a quick wash round, sneaking in a hair wash too before pulling Kurt out of the bath and into a fluffy towel.
"Old daddy" he shivers. I put the back of my hand to his forehead and cheeks.
"You're very warm though sweetheart" I tell him with a concerned look on my face.
"Here I'll put some Minion pyjamas on you, your favourite ones" I smile at him, at least trying to cheer him up a little, which he did smile back just a tiny bit but it was something.
