Kurt had always told me that he never got chicken pox as I child, so he has a high percent of getting it at some point and by that, I didn't mean this morning, but then again, it's best to get it out of the way and done with. The confusing part is that Kurt has a mind of a child, but in a way his body isn't.
"Hey baby" I coo to him as I walk into his room and greet him.
"Ornin' daddy" he smiles at me.
"You've got some spots on your face" I look at him, 'maybe teenage spots' I thought.
"Dey 'tchy" he says.
"Ok, it probably will for a bit" I tell him, thinking that they're just teenage spots.
"Let's get breakfast and then head out, daddy needs to buy some food for the house" I tell him as I take him downstairs after I changed his pull up over.
"In your seat then" I say as I place him in his chair and clip him in.
"There we are" I say.
"Duice pwease" He says.
"Ok" I make him a drink first and pass it to him before getting on with breakfast.
"Fank wou" he says as I finish up with breakfast and pass it to him, along with a spoon.
"No problem" I smile at him and sit down next to him after I grabbed mine. The rest of the family soon gets up and grab breakfast too, Kurt and I finished ours and I decided to get ourselves ready for the day. I change Kurt's pull up again before getting him dressed into a pair of black jeans and a blue stripe Paw Patrol shirt that said 'no pup is too small' with some grey Paw Patrol socks.
As I took Kurt's pyjama shirt off, that's when I realised that it wasn't teenage spots as it was all over his chest too.
"Burt? Carole?" I call out to them. As I wait, I decide to slip Kurt's socks on him as I've already put his jeans on.
"What's up bud?" Burt asks me.
"Is this what I think this is?" I ask them as show them Kurt's chest.
"Yes, that is most definitely chicken pox" Carole tells me.
"Great"
"Yeah, he never got it as a child, but he might be alright because he has a toddler brain so it might pass through and be quick" Burt tells me.
"Let's hope so" I sigh as I slip his shirt on.
"Are you now taking him out?" Carole asks.
"Yeah, I'm getting some food" I tell them.
"Ok, you'll have to be quick because he will start to feel unwell soon, so you need to buy some sort of cream or cooling gel to help, if he needs to scratch, either pat or tap the spots, don't itch them as it can lead to worse complications" she tells me.
