18. Memories

The five of you left the village, you were so excited. You couldn't help but smile, you walked between Naruto and Gaara. Naruto kept bragging about his ninjutsu and about previous enemies he has faced. I couldn't help but giggle. Gaara just stared forward not saying anything. You looked at him and he gave you a small smile, they reminded you of someone you once knew. But forced to forget.

Flashback

You were sitting by yourself in you schools academy hall, all of the other students were laughing and playing. You stared at them trying to understand why they were so happy. Our village was in complete darkness and it was full of evil. It just hid itself very well, but as an outsider you saw it all. There was only one other kid who was sitting by himself, he had stared at the others along with you, a confused expression on his face. He had pitch black hair and his eyes were dark. Your eyes met and he quickly looked away, you sighed and lay back on the ground. You heard shuffling and when you turned you saw the same boy sitting next to you. He stared at the others along with you, you sat up. "What do you want?", you sigh. He continues to stare at the others, you stare at him. Then he breaks the silence. "Why are you always by yourself?", he asks. You look back the other children, a tear slipping down your eye. "They think I"m a monster". You looked back at him, this time he is looking directly at you. He reaches forward and wipes the tear from your cheek and engulfs you in a large hug. When he pulls away you stare at him, your cheeks a light pink. "Why aren't you afraid of me?". He smiled and looked down at his hands. "Because I know that you're too beautiful to be a monster". You hugged him back and cried into his chest, soaking his shirt. His hand rested on the back of your head, running his hand through your hair. "My name is Gomonshi Uchiha, don't forget it", he whispered.

He had to leave so your embraced ended. You waved to him as he walked away, a large grin on your face. The first time you had ever felt happy. You were walking back to your apartment when you felt a sharp pain in your arm. You looked down and in your shoulder was a sleeping dart, your eye lids felt heavy and you collapsed on the ground.

 You eyes fluttered open and you found your self in a cold stone room, instead of walls there were metal bars. You were in the dungeons below the village, you were unsure as to why you were there. You had been there several times before as a punishment for making mistakes, but you couldn't recall doing anything wrong. You shivered and tried to stand but you were chained to the wall. You struggled in you chains but eventually gave up, you looked around the room and there on the floor lay a familiar boy. It was Gomonshi, he shifted and rubbed his eyes. He too was chained to the wall but on the other side of the cell. "Gomonshi!", you called out to him. He looked up at you, his face was stained with tears and a he had a large cut on his face. The blood dripped down his face and onto the ground. He didn't say anything he just stared at you, tears falling from his eyes. Your ears perked up at the sound of foot steps. You turned and saw five ninja, one unlocked the door and pushed it open. He walked in and the four others followed, they looked at you and then at Gomonshi. You saw a grin on one of their faces through their mask. The four others stood to the side giving you a view of Gomonshi and one of the ninja. The ninja grabbed Gomonshi by his hair and held up his head forcing it up. "This is what happens when monsters make friends", he exclaimed with a slight chuckle. He punched Gomonshi in the face several times, then kicked his body as he lay in a ball on the floor. You began crying, but you pushed it back. If anything you were angry, you barred your teeth into a angry snarl. "Leave him alone!". The ninja laughed and kept beating him, then he pulled out a kunai and started putting large deep cuts all over the boys body. Your eyes met with Gomonshi's, all you could see his frightened tear stained face. You clenched you fists and let out a low growl. "I said leave him alone", you voice was a lot lower than normal. You ripped your self from your chains as you transformed. First the dark blue chakra engulfed your body and then you changed again, now with ears and three tails. Then you saw the beginning of the fourth tail and that's when it all went black.

You awoke in the same cell except the walls had been ripped off and on the floor lay the dead bodies of the shinobi. Expressions of horror still on their faces, blood soaking the cell floor. Then in the corner of the room lay a small pile of rubble and from underneath a familiar head of black hair. You limped over to it and began pulling away rocks until you were face to face with a dieing Gomonshi. You pulled him from the pile of rocks and held him close to you, crying into his non moving body. "Gomonshi, I'm sorry", tears dripped from your face to him. You closed your eyes and held him. Then you felt him twitch, you opened your eyes and looked down at him as his eyes fluttered open. His eyes were different, they were red. He had just awakened his Sharingan. He smiled when he saw you, he reached his hand up and caressed your cheek. "I'm sorry", you cried. His smile never left his face. "Please (Y/n) don't be sorry, I'm sorry I won't be alive long enough to tell you that I'm in love with you", he said while tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear. "No I won't let you die". "You were always so stubborn", he let out a soft laugh but stopped to cough out blood. You held him close, trying to hold back the tears. "(Y/n) can I ask you something?", he asked. You nodded and wiped the tears from your eyes. "Can I kiss you?". You hesitated but agreed, leaning slowly towards his bruised and bleeding face. Your lips connected and you felt his breathing slow. He pulled you into an embrace. "Your not a monster, your an angel", his voice was soft and shook as he spoke. "My name is Gomonshi Uchiha, don't forget it". Then you felt his body go limp and his breathing stop. You screamed into your hands, fighting back the tears. "Gomonshi please don't leave me, I'm all alone with out you". You cried into his lifeless body, calling his name, but you never got a response. He was gone, gone forever.

End of flash back

Your eyes filled with tears and they fell to the ground with light splashes.  Gaara and Naruto turned to you and they stopped walking. "Hey are you OK?", asked Naruto. You nodded and kept walking. You wanted to push the thoughts of Gomonshi out of your mind to stop yourself crying, but you had made a promise. Gomonshi Uchiha, you would never forget it.
