For she fought it out
She struggled to keep it out
Built an iron stronghold around
Wall; cold yet warm—still and bound.Inside she guards the thing;
The crystal, fragile treasure of her being.
A prize possession of inside
A thing greater than pride.Confidence get the best of sentry
Stepped out a moment—left it grimy.
A moment is what it all takes
The treasure was stolen from the keep.All goes unnoticed,
The gem was returned.
Returned—scathed, bruised, broken;
All beyond repair.
