BLINDED

And so I sing these words to thee
Words adorn with praise and applause
As thou step on the center of limelight
Highlight of everyone's delight
Flashes million dollar smile at the crowd
Satisfied as they knelt and bowed
Shrug off the root of thy place
Have thou forgotten who helped thee raise?
Or those who give thee a shoulder?
When still a greenbie starting to sprout over.

But look my man, thou grown and travelled far;
Miles thou walk, hard to look over thy shoulder
Too focus what lies ahead,
Catching the dreams thee laid
Oh, thou have forgotten. . .
Starting point thou friends still remain
Loving the glint of shining dime
Blinded by treacherous light of prime.
And so I sing these words to thee,
To thee who had forgotten me.
