Lily

Chapter 2

 Jonas had been trying to count the days he had been in the hospital but couldn't. Everyday he was given breakfast taken to a small stall marked disabled so he could use the bathroom then given a needle for sleep until the next meal. Sometimes when really stressed Jonas wasn't even woken up the staff let him stay in his sleeping state.

Every time Jonas woke up he saw noticeable changes in his health good changes. Once his leg got stand-able he sunk over to his sister's bed in the middle of the night. He immediately wished he never went over there. His sweet little eight year old sister was replaced by a small shell of a human. Her usual blonde hair appeared white and thin her skin was whiter than her hair which looked as impossible as it sounds. Her beautiful rosy red cheeks where pale and didn't exist anymore she was gone.

Jonas didn't want to touch her in fear she would break. He had no idea where to go her couldn't be in this room anymore so he left he felt sick so he went to the bathroom. The disabled bathroom was occupied so he went into the normal bathroom. He went into the stall and vomited he was so scared and felt unsafe in this building. When he went to wash his hands in the sink he saw a stranger in the mirror. 

He touched his refection or at least he thought it was his refection. The person in the mirror was extremely thin and had pale skin like most of the patients at the hospital. But there was something missing it was his eyes, it looked like the life in his grey eyes was sucked out. Jonas sat in the corner frightened by his disturbing appearance. Just die he thought that seemed like the better solution then what laid ahead for him.

"Jonas where have you been?" Jonas saw a small girl in front of him.  The whole room was white and bright with nothing else in it.

"What? Who are you?" Jonas reached out for the stranger.

"Jonas it's me Lily your best friend." Jonas remembered now. This felt like a memory of his childhood but Jonas didn't remember anyone named Lily. Jonas felt the urge to hug this girl he felt her honesty.

"Where were you Jonas?" 

"I don't know Lily but I'm glad I'm back." Jonas inhaled the sweet smelling air and opened his eyes Lily was gone and the nurse was in front of Jonas now. 

"Jonas you need to go now." her words sounded faint and Jonas couldn't see clearly. He looked around and noticed he was still in the bathroom corner.

"Did you hear me? You are leaving." the nurse handed Jonas some crutches and a small paper bag. His senses came back to him now he took the stuff and followed the nurse. She lead him into the front lobby where a older woman held out her hand for him he ignored it. He was then put onto a bus with other children and some kids his age he sat beside a girl who looked familiar. He stared at her and she stared back.

"I'm Jonas."

"Hi my name's Lily."
