Chapter 3
Jonas stared at the girl he had known only in his dreams until now.
"Lily? Have we ever met?"
"No I don't think so why?" Jonas fished for a answer he couldn't just say I saw you in my dreams he had to stay cool.
"Well you look very familiar? Where are you from?"
"I'm from Maine, you?"
"I'm from Toronto why are you in Vancouver if you're from Maine?"
"Same reason why you're here both our parents died and now we're going to the orphanage." Jonas stared at her for what seamed like forever then he processed what she said.
"Died?" he barely whispered by Lily heard him.
"Yes this is what happens to children who are hurt and parent less we go to a special orphanage for sick and wounded children."
"But my dad not dead! He wouldn't die in a car accident they just assumed he was dead they didn't even find a body!" Jonas was hysterical with fear.
"Jonas quite or you'll upset the others." Lily snapped. But Jonas didn't listen he started for the exit he basically crawled since he left his crutches in his seat. As soon as he was about to reach the steps for the door the bus driver closed the doors and started the bus. The old lady helped Jonas up and brought him to his seat.
"Lily why are you going to a orphanage for the sick?" Jonas looked at her she had no broken bones or scratches and didn't seem to have any diseases. Lily looked at him and huffed then moved a blanket that was over her legs. The blanket showed that her leg was gone and that she had a prosthetic instead.
"My parents they liked to travel a lot. They both where flight attendants so fear of flying was never in their system same with me. One day they wanted to take a small trip to Alaska for spring break when our plane was in midair we crashed some where in British Columbia. Me and another man where the only soul survivors during impact a piece off the wings fell on my leg my tissue and mussel was tron in half my bone completely snapped. The doctors told me that amputating my leg was the best thing to do." a tear rolled down Lily's face Jonas felt sorry for her.
"So what's your story?" Lily covered her leg with her blanket.
"Well my dad was coming home from a friend's house me and my little sister came with him. We where visiting my uncle in Vancouver like every year so I got used to my surroundings I also remembered the road signs since we also visit the same guy each year. My dad lost control of the steering wheel and drove off the highway into a tree down a hill the cops didn't find his body and my sister Victoria is in a coma now." Jonas looked down.
"But I know he's still out there some where." Jonas looked passed Lily out the window at the passing trees.
"But if your dad is still out there why are you here?"
"Because everyone thinks he's dead but he isn't."
"Your mom?"
"She died when I was seven Lily was just one she died from Tuberculosis." Jonas looked up at the thought of his mother.
"Why do good people have to go? I mean my mother did nothing wrong and she died without warning we thought it was just a cold. Just why?"
"Jonas everyone dies for a reason God dosen't just kill for fun he dose it for a purpose."
"If God has a purpose for me what is it?"
