Breaking

Jonas turned around to face the man he both loved and hated. He wanted to hit him but also hug him at the same time, in fact Jonas didn't know what he wanted to do. So he just stared into the ever wondering eyes of the monster in front of him. 

"Now I know you're mad-" 

"Not mad, disappointed yes, but not mad." Jonas wasn't going to let his father tell him anymore lies especially ones about him.

"Well in my opinion that is worse then being mad. Just let me explain why I did what I did." Blake sat down on the chair wincing as he rubbed his knee.

"It all started with Kevin. He came into the house late at night and killed mom, I'm sure you already know this though since you've probably spoken with Kevin."

"How did you know I spoke with him?" Jonas's temper grew with every statement.

"I've been in contact with certain people. But that's not the point Jonas just let me finish. After your mom died I told you and Victoria that it was a lung problem that killed her. The police and doctors however knew that she was murdered. Reporters, police, neighbours, everyone started to come to our house I managed to get them away before you noticed but I feared that they would never be satisfied. Finally the died down I had a civilized conversation with one police officer and the case was closed. Until a month before the crash. The station got a call from someone saying they saw me murder mom from their bedroom window and the case started up again this time the blame was on me. They chased me down that whole time I knew they wouldn't hold back you guys would be taken from me and I would probably end up behind bars." at this point Blake started to cry a bit apologizing between sobs not only to Jonas but also to Teddy.

"I got drunk that night to numb the pain of having to abandon my children. Then the next morning I realized I was still alive and I thought you two were... dead. I quickly got out and left now I am wanted by the police not only for mom's murder but now also the death of Victoria." Blake put his head in his hands and let out a slow staggering breath. 

"You souldn't have to live with this Jonas. Come with me! Come to a place where you can see mom and Victoria again we can be a family this time forever!" Blake looked up at Jonas and got onto his knees begging for him to come with him.

He refused.

His dad's once happy expression became a dull and saddened one. There once was a time when Blake would come home to a happy family with a smile on his face. Now his spirit had faded leaving him as only a shell of a once strong man. And like anything that is as fragile as Blake King it eventually breaks and that is exactly what happened to Mr. King he broke. 

Jonas didn't wait another minute to be excused Oliver hadn't either the fat red man sat outside his office eating his lunch peacefully as if nothing had happened. But Blake sat in the office spread out onto the floor in a puddle of his tears sobbing his woes away until there was nothing left.

"What happened?" Lily grabbed Jonas's shoulder as he walked by her not paying any attention.

"We should have never came here! He's a coward and I hate him!" Jonas ran for the door wanting to get out of there never to return to that place. Lily quickly followed but couldn't keep up since she couldn't run as fast. 

"Jonas! Jonas! Tell what happened right now why aren't you with him?" Lily finally caught up and this time stood in front of Jonas with her hands on his shoulders. He had tears running down his cheeks that were red from embarrassment.

"He's dead! He killed himself, two days ago!" 

And like anything that is as fragile as Blake King it eventually breaks and that is exactly what happened to Mr. King he broke.
