Rotten feet

When mornings are shown in movies you see the characters burst out of bed. Hair and makeup perfect, teeth plaque free, glistening, and overflowing with joy. Birds chip and sing welcoming the heroin to the day and she'll continue on with her morning with a constant bounce in her step.

My morning went nothing like that.

Instead of being woken up by the annoying chirping of the birds who set up nest outside my window, I'm kicked awake by the troll I call my best friend. Not only that but I get the privileged of smelling her rotten feet.

Note the sarcasm.

Groaning I shove her feet away from me rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

A monumental yawn passes through me as I swing my legs over the side walking to the bathroom before she gets a chance to use all the hot water. Like always. Looking into the mirror I laugh at my absurd reflection. My scarf is partially off my head revealing the Medusa like twist to me. Not only that but there's a massive drool streak across my cheek.

"Emma Stone has nothing on my mornings" laughing at my own corny joke, I turn on the shower before quickly undressing and hoping in. Careful to keep my hair from getting wet I shower as quickly as possible so I could get out and dressed before Blake took it upon herself to dismiss me from my bathroom.

Right as I put on my shirt, Blake burst into the bathroom eyes partially shut. Unable to hold it I burst out laughing at her appearance. I didn't think it was possible but she looks even worse than I did when I woke up. Her red curls flying in several different directions almost resembling Ana's when she woke up for Elsa's coronation. "Ani did you use all the hot water?" she mumbles almost falling asleep on the spot.

Smirking I ruffle her hair making her groan in irritation. "Considering it's my house, I think I should be allowed to use as much hot water as I want." I tease. Glaring at me she throws me my towel before pushing me out to my room, and I'm pretty sure I heard her mumble a small "Jackass," under her breath.

"We'll see who you'll be calling a Jackass when you need help with your hair." I shout over the running water. "I love you Ani you're the absolute best!" she wails out. Shaking my head I move to make up the bed. My room has looked the same for as long as I can remember with few new additions. The walls are a pinkish cream color with one wall painted black with chalkboard paint. Over the course of years the wall is overflowing with both funny and encouraging words from my friends.

Smiling I read over the newest addition to the wall. I still have no idea how you think Rick and Morty is funny, but I guess I'll suffer through it for you. I laugh softly at Parker's message that I will never agree with. Looking around it dawns on me that we forgot to unplug the lights before we went to bed because Blake wanted to "Sleep under the stars."

Rolling my eyes I sigh with relief that my mom had a night shift so I could weasel out of getting yelled at over the electric bill. After tidying up a bit the shower finally turns off and not long after a slightly more awake Blake walks out from the steam. "Glad you're finally done cause you kept me from brushing my teeth asshole."

Walking down to the kitchen I see Blake already there raiding my fridge. "Ani why don't you ever have food!" she whines drawing out the 'O's' in food. Shrugging I toss her her keys because hey she's the one complaining so we'll take her car for breakfast.

"Hurry up I don't want to be late for first period." I shout from the living room before tying my hair in a scarf bun. Looking into the mirror once more before leaving I nod in approval at my appearance. It's cold outside so I went for the comfort of my black skinny joggers, olive green loose sweater, and white high top converse. Grabbing a black utility jacket I shout for Blake to come on before going out to brave the cold.
