Andy left early that morning before my mother and I had woken up. He dipped without a final word, and I didn't hear from him the rest of the weekend. I tried calling him but the line was dead. I sent a text message here and there but all of them went green immediately.

This was what I was talking about. He would be nice one minute and completely bail out the next. It was quite frustrating actually. I pulled into the school parking lot and stopped the car. The windshield wipers stopped and let the flood of the cold gray rain hit against my window. I threw my hood up over my head and dashed through the parking lot as rain pelted me. I followed the large crowd of kids trying to all push through the small doors.

The sound of squeaky shoes and complaints filled the hallway and I made my way to my locker. I opened the creaky metal door and took out my books and folders. As I began to shut it, a pale hand gripped the edge. I turned and rolled my eyes. "What do you want?"

"What the fuck was that shit the other night? Huh? What the hell, Snow!" Jake yelled in my face full of rage. He leaned in close and I backed away, smelling his fowl breath.

I pried his hand off my locker door and slammed it shut, offering a shrug. I looked at him with dull eyes. "I don't know. It's not my fault you got your ass kicked."

"Your freak of a friend tossed me around like a god damn rag doll! What the actual fuck was his issue?" Jake asked. He leaned in closer and I pushed at his chest, scoffing angrily.

"Maybe because once again you were hurting me and someone stood up for once." I said with venom in my voice. Jake clenched his fists and breathed heavily as his eyes locked with mine.

"You little whiney bitch!" He raised a fist and I had no time to react. He swung hard and I waited for the impact, however I was surprised to feel nothing. I turned my head back to him and saw a pale white hand holding his fist with ease out in front of me. I looked behind me and saw a fairly angry Andy standing right behind me, his eyes looking at Jake.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Andy said calmly however I could hear the boiling rage that was starting to slip in his voice.

"Oh look here! The freak of a friend swoops in to save the day again." Jake sneered as he laughed hard, followed by his other jock friends who joined in.

"Actually, I'm the freak of a boyfriend."

Jake's face went white. He looked at me in disbelief and I just arched both brows. I guess we were official. Jake narrowed his eyes at me and growled under his breath. "Snow would not do that without my permission, right?"

I felt myself go white. Flashbacks from our relationship started to cross my vision, and my memories started to flood out.

"Why would you do that?" Jake yelled at me as he hovered over me on the floor. Tears were pouring out of my eyes and I ran my shaking hands through my fingers.

"I— don't— know." I squeaked.

"Did I tell you you could?"

I shook my head silently, but that was a wrong move. I felt his hand strike against my upper back and the stinging sensation hit again. I cried out and clamped my hand over my mouth. Jake leaned down closer, getting inches from my face. "Did I give you permission to talk to him?"

"He's just a friend. I swear."

"You're not allowed to talk to other guys. You've already got a great one right here. Why would you do that?" He asked me as he arched a brow. Through tear filled eyes, I looked at him and shook my head. My lip quibbled and I whispered, "I'm sorry."
