"So basically you just have to throw this little ball and land it in a cup?" Andy asked me, holding the white ping pong ball in his hand. Laughing, I took it out of his hand and nodded my head as I said, "Yes. Like this."
I tossed the ball, letting it bounce once before sinking into the back left cup. The crowd that swarmed the table went wild, realizing I only had two cups to go whereas they had seven left on my side. The boy laughed and took the cup of beer, drinking it all before throwing it off to the side.
"Ricky you suck ass at this." I shouted over the music. Ricky shot me a glare and rolled his eyes as he grabbed the ball. He set himself up and held his arm high, and with the flick of his wrist, the ball went over the table.
"Fuck I can't say shit because you're right. You're too good." Ricky commented, shaking his head at me. His brown eyes flicked over to Andy and a smirk tugged at his lips. "Let him try it out. You're in my auto body class right?"
Andy nodded. "Mhm."
"Andrew right?" I saw Andy tense up.
"He goes by Andy." I quickly threw in, grabbing Andy's hand under the table. Giving it a light squeeze, Andy seemed to immediately calm down. I was surprised to hear he was in auto body. I never knew he was super into cars.
Andy took the white ping pong ball and straightened himself out. His blue eyes scanned the table and he raised his arm up. Everyone watched intently as he narrowed his eyes, and with one swish, the ball landed in.
The crowd went nuts. Ricky raised his hands up in defeat and claimed he gave up. He took the rest of his cups and drank them one by one before exiting the room with a walk of shame. I nudged Andy and smiled. "How does it feel to win your first drinking game!"
Andy laughed. "Pretty good."
"Shot time!" Alex shouted as she walked into the room. Everyone held out their neon colored glass while Alex walked around, pouring liquor into each of our glasses. The theme of the party was neon so when you walked in the front door you had a choice of bright pink, lime green, or neon yellow for your glass.
You also had to have a glow stick bracelet, but you couldn't just pick your color. There were three colors— green meant you were single and ready to mingle, pink meant you were in a relationship, and blue meant you just wanted to fuck. Andy and I both wore a pink one, and the rest were all mixed. However, the blue was definitely worn by at least half the people here.
Alex passed us, splashing the drink into our glasses before pouring herself one. She raised her hand up and shouted, "On the count of three bitches! One— two— three!"
We all lifted the glass to our lips and tilted our heads back simultaneously. The room filled with coughing as everyone choked down their shots, however Andy and I drank it with ease. Nudging Alex on the shoulder, I took another shot for myself.
"We've got a show off." Ricky said as he came back into the room. I shot him a glare and winked, and Ricky arched his brows. He leaned against the end of the table. "Alright sweets you wanna play a game? Let's play."
He came to my side and tossed all the cups over to the side, clearing the table. He motioned for his friends to give him their shot glasses. They lined them up— ten on one edge and ten on the other. I moved so I was across from him and watched as he poured it all into our glasses.
He set the bottle down. "First person to take all ten and flip them onto the table wins. You spill or choke or throw up, you lose."
I leaned forward. "You're on."
