“Thank you for coming, Mr Doss and Madame Dee.” Mom thanked and we bowed politely.
He's our last guest that we need to bid our goodbye.

My heart felt uneasy ever since I read the message.
I'm sure it came from Danny, my little brother.

“We're honoured that you came to our house and celebrate Susie's birthday with us.” Dad flashed a smile.

“No problem. We've known this little Susie since she's an infant.” Mr Doss insisted.

“That's why we must come to celebrate her birthday. She's becoming a woman now.” Madame Dee added, patting my shoulder.

“Thank you, Madame Dee and Mr Doss.” I thanked and smiled sheepishly.

Madame Dee glanced at Kris and Kris stiffened beside me.

His jaw clenched as he stood there anxiously.

I shifted my gaze to Madame Dee and caught her eyes staring at my necklace.

If you wonder what kind of necklace that Kris gave to me.
It is actually a half wings pendant.

Madame Dee flashed a smile before she and Mr Doss get into the car and drives away.

By the time, it's already 11.11 PM.

I plopped on the couch and sighed tiredly.

“I'm going to change my clothes!” Mom exclaimed and run upstairs like a little kid.

“Slow down. You're going to fall.”
Dad chuckled in amusement as he followed her from behind closely while Kris went to the kitchen.

As I watched through the glass door of the balcony, I just realised that it was raining heavily.

The wind rattled the glass door.

I get up and pull the curtains to cover the glass door.

Suddenly, my house turn into darkness.
My heart beats fast and my stomach churns.

The curtains in my hand flung open.

I saw a glimpse of a guy wearing a black cloak at our backyard.

“K-kris. .” I stuttered, my mouth becomes dried.

I couldn't move as my legs stay rooted to the floor.

“Susie. .” He called in a taunting way.

“W-who are you?” My voice barely a whisper.

“Don't you know?” He asked and laughed.

“You shouldn't be alive!”

“That stupid Kris should know the consequences for using the necklace over a human!”

The man moves closer and the glass door clicked and slides open.

Wind gushed inside the house and my breaths labour.

I became deaf to the world.

All I could hear is how hard my heart is pounding.

Suddenly, the guy stood in front of me and hold my necklace.

I screamed and struggled under his grip which he only tighten his grip in response.
My necklace turns hotter until the pain become unbearable for me.
