Susie let out a soft gasp.
Her body freeze when she felt a pair of hands of her shoulders.

“Susie.” Jongin shook her shoulder gently.

“J-Jongin.” She breathed out.
She immediately hold his hand tightly as Jongin stand in front of her protectively.

‘Interesting.’ He thought with his smirk plastered on his face.
Both male stare at each other with meaningful gaze which screamed dominance.

Jongin looks away after he realised that he's still in the same team as Joonmyun.
Joonmyun snorted with his arms crossed.

‘Good job.’ Joonmyun mouthed to Jongin before he turns around.
Susie saw it too but she couldn't understand what he meant with that.

Joonmyun pulls Hana with him as they walked away.

“What does he meant by that?” Susie asked, breaking the silence between them.
Jongin stilled.

‘She shouldn't know about this.’

“I'm not sure too. .”

The ambulance arrived there after a few minutes.
Susie frowned when she saw Haeryun's body is picked up to the stretcher.

She silently prayed for Haeryun's well being.

“Will she be fine?” The driver asked.
He had been biting his nail nervously ever since the ambulance arrived.

“She is still alive except for her broken arm and right leg with swollen bump on her head. If you didn't slows down, she might have die instantly.” The paramedic explained, patting his shoulder to make him at ease.

Suddenly, Susie saw a familiar car parked near the convenient store.

Sheriff Lee stepped out of the car with Inspector Do following him.

“Are you Mr Kang?” Sheriff Lee asked politely.

“Yes, yes I am.” The driver, Mr Kang answered and shake his hand with Sheriff Lee.
“I am Sheriff Lee. We'll need you to come with us and tell us about the whole incident.” Sheriff Lee said.

“S-sure. Let me park the car aside.” Mr Kang said.
He looks sickly pale the moment he get out from the car.
Poor him.

Inspector Do turns around and his hawk eyes caught Susie with Jongin.

“Susie, why are you alone? It could be dangerous roaming around at night with that necklace.” Jongin scolded.
“I just came here to buy some foods.” Susie answered in defeat.

Her eyes kept looking at the ambulance.

“Where is Kris?” Jongin asked.

When she saw the stretcher is pushed inside the ambulance, she realised that Haeryun need someone to be with her.

“Jongin, can you send my bicycle back to Kris's apartment, please?” Susie asked in hurried tone.

“W-where are you going?” Jongin asked in panic.
His thoughts run wild.

He thought Susie will chase after Joonmyun and Hana.

“I should keep Haeryun a company. She needs someone with her.” Susie answered and Jongin sighed in relief.

“I'll text you the address and I'll inform Kris about you.” Susie said.
“Love you.” Susie kissed Jongin's cheek before running to the ambulance.
