Ingrid lay down on the couch to try and get some rest, though she knew that her dreamworld wouldn't allow it.

She stood in a field of wheat which was waist high. They pricked at her skin like a thousand tiny stakes, only they couldn't dust her because they were wood.

She winced once and looked down at herself, she was wearing her usual blood red gown, only the length had been shortened so her legs could be tortured by wheat.

The sky was a soft blue with the sun directly above her. If Ingrid had been a breather she might have called it beautiful. The sun should have turned her to ash right there, but this was just one perk of her dreamworld.

Ingrid pushed her way through the wheat field, walking no direction in particular. She headed towards a mountain in the foggy distance.

Ingrid jumped as someone grabbed the hem of her dress. She turned around slowly and her frightened expression was met by the smile of a young girl.

Eight years old maybe. She wore a gown exactly the same as Ingrid's, just smaller. Her shaggy hair was mousy brown.

"Mummy," The girl tugged on Ingrid's dress, "Come play with me."

Ingrid was too surprised and confused to argue, a small wooden house appeared in the middle of the wheat field and she followed the girl to it.

As she jogged slowly, she felt her skin being cut by the pointy wheat, blue blood seeped out of the wounds. Hopefully that wouldn't show when she woke up.

The girl opened the front door of the house and stepped inside. She let go of Ingrid and ran over to one corner where she had a dollhouse.

"Play with me, mummy."

"Oh... okay," Ingrid knelt down next to the girl and looked into the dollhouse. She gasped, putting her hand to her mouth. The exterior was painted pink, but this was definitely a replica of the cottage.

"Mummy?" The girl held a doll out for Ingrid. It was, amazingly, a doll of Ingrid. It looked just like her.

When Ingrid didn't reply, the girl placed the doll in the house and pulled out a male doll from her pocket. This one was Will.

She put it infront of the Ingrid doll and shouted, "Let's play, mummy!"

Ingrid watched in horror as the mini Will pulled out a stake and thrust it into mini Ingrid's chest. The female doll turned to dust which scattered on the floor of the dollhouse.

Ingrid felt too many emotions coming out. She screamed. And ran outside.

She was surrounded by wheat again. It pricked and poked her. She screamed once more as each square metre of wheat turned into a clone of Will. Each clone pulling out a stake at the same time.

Ingrid ran through the Wills, screaming as the hundreds of clones pricked and poked at her with their stakes.

Everything stopped when thunder burst out of the sky, the volume of it causing the clones to turn back to wheat and wither to the ground.

Wolfie barked again and this time Ingrid woke up. She had cuts all over her skin, luckily they weren't deep enough to cause anything disastrous.

Ingrid cried and Wolfie tried to comfort her, but he really had no idea what had just happened.

"Erin!" Vlad bounded up to her bedroom door and pounded his fist against it, "Talk to me now!"

She opened it, arms folded and anger on her face, "What does the almighty Chosen One want now?"

"I hardly think that title is still valid," He stepped inside her room.

Erin sighed loudly, "I see this is going to take a while. Could you just get to the point?"

Vlad saw Artur's crib in the corner of his eye, he wished he could go and hug the toddler, but that would make Erin much too mad.

"Well?" She urged him, "Don't waste my time!"

"I want to know what happened to you."

"Oh Vladdy, Vladdy, Vladdy," Erin walked circles around him, "You did this to me, don't you remember?"

"That was ages ago," He also folded his arms, "I thought we'd gotten past that."

"You obviously thought wrong. Oh- and how about that little thing you did to myself and everyone. You call it a... mindwipe?"

Vlad stared at the ground, "I had no choice. You were there, you saw that I had no choice."

"We all have choices, Vladdy. I had a choice," She stopped walking when she was behind him, "I could have either you or Malik. Malik or Vlad. I was so foolish."

Vlad swung around and gripped onto her wrist, "Maybe I was the foolish one. I love you Erin, yet you keep stabbing me in the back and begging for forgiveness in an endless cycle. When will you be begging this time?"

She struggled against his strength and hissed, "Never."

"Then leave," He let go of her wrist, though not before using his powers to push her out of the room.

She stood in the doorframe, "Maybe I will, that is what you want after all."

That wasn't what he wanted and she knew it. He wanted her to come back and beg for forgiveness. She didn't even need to beg, he just wanted the good Erin to come back.

She smirked, "Not happening. Ever. You made me like this, Vlad. It's your fault."

"Get out of my head," He looked at the ground.

Erin laughed, "Nope! Now come on baby boy," She clicked her fingers and Artur levitated, flying over to her, "We're going on a holiday."

"Don't take him," Vlad held up his hand and Artur stopped moving.

"He's my son."

"He's mine too!"

Artur began crying and Erin walked to him, hugging her child. The toddler wrapped his little arms around Erin.

She smirked, "I think he's made his choice."

Vlad watched Erin speed away with Artur in her arms.

That was when he felt his world shatter for seemingly the hundredth time. When would the pain stop? When could he live a normal life?

Erin's voice floated into Vlad's head, "Never," She said, "Never."

Ingrid saw Erin walk out the door, she wiped her eyes and stood up, following her.

"Bit bright to be outside, don't you think?"

It was about four in the afternoon. The sun was blazing.

Erin shook her head in frustration, "I'm one of the most powerful vampires and yet the sun still traps me."

"Everyone has their weakness," Ingrid approached Erin and played with Artur's fingers, he played back, "Where are you two going?"

"I haven't decided yet. Somewhere far away from here, that's for sure."

Ingrid laughed, "Please. You'll end up back here sooner or later."

"I won't," Erin sat on the concrete floor, "This time I'm leaving for good."

She smirked, "Sure you are."

"Bat off," Erin swished her hand and Ingrid giggled slightly and went back inside.

"Your cuts are all healed," Wolfie said.

"Yeah. That's pretty awesome."

Suddenly the whole castle shook and screams erupted from outside. Erin's screams.

Vlad automatically sped down the stairs and crashed against the doorframe.

He saw a stake being held at Erin's chest.
