We go through several halls before stopping at one door and he opens it. Inside is a small full sized bed, guys clothes everywhere, a dresser, and a bathroom. We walk in along with a guard carrying a box. He sets it on the floor before leaving. I peek in it to find girls clothing. Oh no, I know what he's doing.
"Oh no."
"Son, I cleared all your chores for the evening. Oh and I have my best girls working on the wedding, and I want it as soon as possible so it will be in two weeks." And he shuts the door. I look at Einar who glares at me. I look back down.
"How in the world is he going to plan a wedding in two weeks?"
"If he wants something done then it'll happen, there's a lot of screaming but it'll happen." I hear the annoyance in his voice.
"Well, he sounds like a nice guy." He snorts.
"Yea, he sure is." He says returning my sarcasm. I kneel down and start to pull out clothes, most are jeans and tee shirts. But there are a few dresses in there, and my oh my they are some good looking dresses. Not like it matters since I suddenly am now engaged! I shake my head at all the craziness that just happened. We sit in awkward silence while I start to put away my clothes. I look around the room at the clothes thrown everywhere.
"Do you even know what's clean and dirty?"
"Yes." He replies coldly. I sigh and sit on the floor while he lies on the bed.
"I want you to know that I hate you and we are never having kids together," I say, giving him a hard glare. He laughs bitterly.
"You think you'll have a choice in that? My father will expect you to get pregnant in the first week. He will not be happy if we're still mad at each other." I fold my arms.
"He can kill me but I'm not." He turns to face me daring me with his brown eyes.
"He won't kill you, you're too valuable, and he won't hurt you but he'll hurt me." I'm shocked.
"How can he hurt you? You're his son."
"You saw what he did a few minutes ago," I remember his hurt face after he hit him, but he also looked used to it. I bite my lip.
"So, what if I can't get pregnant."
"Well..." He turns to me seeing where this is going, "Yea...but we have to act like we like each other." I glare at him and he glares at me.
"Yea, that'll be hard." I stand up and look at the clock in his room, 5 o'clock. I groan and decide to hop in the shower and try to drown this whole day. I stand in the shower for what feels like hours, but it doesn't work. When I get my clothes back on and go back into the room, I realize that he didn't leave me anything to sleep in, probably on purpose. I groan, I only have my short and tank top they kidnapped me in. And I can't wear the same thing every night.
"What's your deal?"
"I don't have anything to wear for overnight."
"Just sleep in your clothes." I groan.
"I'm not sleeping in jeans." He shrugs.
"Fine, whatever wear one of my shirts." I raise my eyebrows.
"Really?" He shrugs. I groan again and decide to just sleep in this for tonight.
The next few hours are so boring. I literally just stare at the wall. Neither of us talks, but they do give us dinner. We make arrangements for one of us to sleep on the floor one night while the other sleeps in the bed and then switch each night. And this goes on for a few days. I'm allowed to leave the room, and I wouldn't be crazy enough to leave, but I still can't find an exit anywhere. But I do make friends with one of the girls planning my wedding, Anne. She has red hair and green eyes with freckles covering her face. She's the cousin of Einar and super cool. I sit on her bed because that's the only place where you can hang out is bedrooms, the whole she makes plans for my wedding.
"So...how are you two, getting along." I sigh.
"I hate him, he hates me, we're going to be a great big family." She laughs.
"That rhymes. But seriously, he's not that bad of a guy. He just hates you because your brother is part of a group that is the D.E.A.D's greatest enemy. He was assigned to kill him, but he couldn't do it. And he was in really big trouble with his dad." I gulp thinking of what his dad did to him.
"Yea, I've never liked leader. He is always so harsh. But I hate this place to so..."
"Wait, so then why are you here?"
"Forced, kind of like you. But by my uncle. He is extremely scary, I'll tell you that."
"Yea, but I don't know what I'm going to do when Einar and I get married. We're already so awkward, this is not going to be fun."
"You don't want to have kids do you?"
"Oh no. Of course not, not with him."
"He's going to do bad things if you two don't work something out." I sigh.
"I know." I decide I'm going to try and make the best of it when a knock sounds at the door.
"Who is it?" I call.
"Einar."
"Oh, sorry, I have to go Anne. I'll see you again though." She smiles.
"Okay, good luck." And I open the door. He stands there arms folded, looking impatient. I lean against the doorway.
"Yes, my dear, sweet fiance?" I say with a glare. He glares back then grabs my arm and I flinch. He pulls me down the hall.
"What?!" I try to pull away but his grip is too strong so I just follow him down the hall and he pushes me into our room and shuts the door.
"What?" I repeat, he glares at me.
"You're not allowed to be in any of the other rooms." I shrug.
"She's just a friend, I can't hang out with my friends?"
"You're so lucky that my father didn't find you." I groan and sit on the bed.
"I don't care anymore, I don't want to get married to you. I don't want to be here. And I wish I never met you."
"Same here sweetheart." He says folding his arms, "But we have to deal with it." I know he's right, we're being children right now. But that also means admitting that I'll never have a normal life.
