I fold my arms over my cheat and watch as Jessie tries to tie his shoes. He puffs out his lower lip when he looks at the knot in the shoelaces. He turns his head and looks at my with his big brown eyes.

"Mommy, I can't do it." I smile and kneel down next to him.

"It's okay. I'll help." I pull on the shoelaces and work to get it out of the knot. I untie it and stand up, "Now try again honey." He gives a nod and does it how I showed him. He goes around the loop he made and pulls to two loops. He turns to me and gives me a huge smile.

"I did it!" He says jumping up and down.

"Yes! You did it." I scoop him up and kiss his cheek. I rest him on my hip and he smiles proudly. It's so sad, my baby's almost 4 now. He is quite the little gentleman. He holds up his hand.

"Do it mommy, show me the ice!" He says excited. I laugh and put my palm on his tiny hand. Ice grows between our hands and grows into spirals around us. I take my hand away and nod. He focuses and puts his palm up and blows on it; he sprays my face with frost and I laugh. I blow on his face, freezing his eyebrows and his eyes turn blue. He giggles and the ice melts away. A little girl runs into the room with a cute pink dress on and a tiara on her head. She has red hair and a tall frame. She has pretty brown eyes too, darker than Jessie. She runs up to me and I put Jessie down.

"Go and play with Adi. And if you see Aunt Anne tell her that she needs to-Oh nevermind." I say seeing Anne come into the room. She has a baby in her arms and she hands her over to me.

"Little Rachel needs feeding now." I nod and look at her giving her a smile but she just stares at me. I named her Rachel after my foster mother who was to me a second mother. And as soon as my little girl was put in my arms I knew immediately that she should be named Rachel. She has her blonde hair and same kind and spunky attitude. I bounce her and a smile soon grows on her face. Einar comes down the stairs, with bed hair and tired eyes.

"Why did we decide to have another one?" He asks, tired from the night before. I chuckle.

"We didn't. I believe it was your fault. Just like the first time." He mumbles something and looks down at Rachel. But a smile comes to him face while gazing at her.

"See now you can't stop smiling. You don't regret having her." He sighs.

"No, I love all of you guys." I smile.

"I know you do, and of you didn't you won't be able to help it." He chuckles.

"But we have to make sure no bad boys ever get to her." I laugh.

"Let's hope they don't kidnap her and force her to marry the leader's son." He smirks at me.

"You know you loved it." I laugh and shake my head.

"You see I was taken from my family and friends and forced into a marriage at 17." I say acting like I'm thinking, "But yes, getting to know you was the part, and the only part, that I loved." He laughs and places a kiss on my lips. I push him away.

"Now go put out fires. You saved me now you end up saving everybody else." He laughs as he goes up the stairs to get ready.

"Yea, we wouldn't want her being attracted to a bad boy." Anne says leaning in close to Rachel, "But those are the best kind." She whispers and I slap her arm.

"Don't teach her that. If Einar can do anything he's not letting her out of the house with any boy without a body guard." She laughs.

"Yes, that would probably be true."

-

'No no no no NO." I smirk as I watch Einar pass the living room. A young woman stands in front of him, a junior and 17. She has long, straight blonde hair and blue eyes. She's wearing a leather jacket and dark jeans, her biker helmet still in her hand. She looks at Einar, her eyes pleading.

"Come on dad, it's just to the movies." He shakes his head and points to the wall, indicating that he's talking about our neighbors.

"No, that kid is trouble. I don't trust him."

"Seriously? I drive a motercycle and I box. I know how to take care of myself. And besides he does those same exact things." He shakes his head.

"But I trust you." Rachel looks at me.

"Come on mom, you know his mom. He's not that bad." I chuckle and walk up next to Einar.

"You know, Einar was a bit of a "bad boy" himself when we met." He rolls his eyes.

"You're using this?" I chuckle.

"Yes, I am. Anyways he was rude and arrogant, but he ended up saving me and being the sweetest kindest gut I know." Rachel gags.

"Okay mom, I'm not into that romantic stuff." I roll my eyes and look at Einar.

"She's your daughter." He glares at me and groans. Jessie comes down the stairs and laughs.

"Just let her go dad, she may not have powers. But she can hand fight better than all of us."

"Fine, you can go...if," Rachel groans, "You bring the pepper spray." She shrugs.

"Thanks dad." He nods and turns to glare at me.

"This is your fault for telling them how we met."

"What? It was a good bedtime story." He shakes his head at me.

"Mom! I, um, accidently, um, froze the brownies...again." I groan and go to the kitchen towards the voice. I walk in to see a girl around the age of 12 holding the pan of brownies that are now ice. She froze them through the mits. She has long white/gray hair and startling blue eyes. Her powers have been really out of control. She freezes anything if it's too hot. I laugh.

"Remember what I told you Lyla, don't keep the ice at the surface, push it deeper inside you." She sighs and tosses the pan on the stove. I touch it and take out the ice and cold. I smile at her and she sighs.

"I wish I could control it like you."

"It's okay, as long as you keep it hidden from the rest of the world. They're not ready for you guys yet." After the government found put about me and my kids having powers, they wanted to do some testing and seeing of they could make other have powers. It's declined and then they offered me a job as a CIA agent. But I declined and said they need to leave my kids alone until they're of drinking age. Thankfully they've kept that promise. And now, I guess this is my happily ever after, sort of. I still have bad times and I still fight with my loved ones but nobody is threatening my family any more, and I can only hope it stays that way. And if someone does, I will be there to stop them.
