Saved by the Bad Boy

Chapter 29

I turn around and glare at him.

"You know what I can do, I suggest you back off." I snarl. He holds up his hands, shaking.

"I'm so scared." He laughs and puts his hands back down and straightens up, "Boys show her what you can do." I look around me to see one guy coming at me. I realize that they're all wearing the same suits, sleek black with red outlines. He comes at me and I put my hands up lattice out ice, trying to freeze him whole. He freezes over but my mouth falls open when the ice starts to crack. The man gives off a red glow and the ice shatters as he moves. He smiles at me and I glare at him.

"Duck." Einar, Anne and Jacob know exactly what to do and fall to the floor. I put out my arms and let my ice loose. It sprays from my chest through the whole room. They all freeze over only to break out.

"You see Caliga, you can't escape us. These suits can break through your ice." They move in but Einar and Anne try to fight them off but it's no use. They have their hands behind their backs and then they move for me. I put my hands up in surrender and they push me to my knees. One takes my hand and I make an ice dagger and turn around and stab him right throught his heart. He falls over, dead. All the other guard's stare. I smile sweetly and chuck it at another one. I make more and start throwing them wildly, but, I have horrible aim. A lot of the guards go down but there's still a lot standing.

"Cali!" I turn around to see Einar with both hands ready. I take a deep breath and toss a ice dagger, edge first and he catches it. I put a hand down and a sword grows in my palm. I turn around and swing it at an oncoming guard. It slices right through him and I turn away trying not to see the blood. I watch as the others fight them off and surprisly-not-leader has disappeared. I finish off the rest of the guards easily and before anyone can stop me I run to go find leader. I know, stupid but I'm not thinking. I race down the hallways. Even though I can barely run with my pregnant belly, I feel like I'm going to fall over. But I'm too angry to stop. I run right into the new control room. He's standing there giving orders. He turns around and glares at me.

"You!" He shrieks, "You brought them!" I look around him to see a video from a security camera. It's a whole lot of planes and they're trying to find their way into the compound. I smirk.

"Yes, yes I did." He runs at me but I hold my sword up to him.

"You ruined my life. You took me from my family, you forced me and my husband into a torchure, you made my future kids life a mess, and I went through unimaginable pain. Now, you won't bug me any more." I raise my sword and am about to thrust it into him when the door flings open.

"Cali! Don't! Stop!" I turn around to see Einar.

"No, he doesn't deserve to live!" I try to swing my sword at him but Einar pulls me away. I fight against Einar, trying to get to leader, "Einar! Stop! Let me go! He deserves to die!" I furiously try to get him.

"No Cali, the government will deal with him. He needs to be handed over to the athorities." His words don't get past my ears and I keep fighting against him. Einar finally turns me around and I drop the sword, and it shatters next to me. He wraps both arms around my and I cry into his chest.

"Baby? What's wrong?"

"He caused so much pain, I hate seeing him still alive. It just reminds me of everything. Never seeing my family, having to hide in the same room for months, constantly being watched, that stupid collar, but most of all not being able to give my family a normal life. Our unborn child has lived in horrible conditions with all the stress, the days that I couldn't eat, the days I slept on the uncomfortable floor, and the days I would completely brake down. And you, my poor, sweet, husband has worked so hard to make sure safe and comfortable. You've been whipped for me and more. You would give your life. This amount of pain isn't normal. We're not happy. Normal people are happy." He cups my head in his large hands and looks at me.

"Cali, do remember a few days ago when I told you that I found a way out?" I nod, "We had a chance to get out, we were happy. And do you remember those little moments between us were we were silly and I told you I love you?" I nod seeing were he's going with this, "We were happy. We were happy when we found out you were pregnant even though we knew that we had to do a lot to get out of here, to keep him safe. But we were happy. And we will always be happy as long as we're together." Tears are streaming down my cheeks and I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him. After a few seconds we pull back and I realize that there are SWAT people flooding the whole building, there are guards being arrested and I glare at leader as he passes us with a glare and smirks when he sees me. Einar tenses behind me and after Einar pulls a few strings explaining that we were only prisoners and sent out the signal we meet up with Anne and Jacob. I hug her tightly.

"Let's go home."
