I wipe my sweaty palms on my pants and try to focus on staying calm. Come on Cali, you've delt with leader before you can meet your parents. They sounded super excited over the phone when they called yesterday to say they were flying up the next day. Morgan's come over with her husband, Evan, who is a tall and buff guy with dirty blonde hair. He has a fun and joking attitude, he and Einar hit it off. I heard from Morgan that he's a fireman. Connie is in the kitchen along with Anne and Jacob looks awkward and nervous in the corner. He's been gone for a few days and has just gotten back today. He looks stressed and tired.

"You're going to be fine Cali. They love you." I smile at Morgan.

"Thank you." I listen for Jessie's cries if he's awake upstairs. But I hear no cries.

"I wish we could've gotten them from the airport." I hear Evan say.

"Yea, but they insisted on renting a car." I say sighing. We sit in silence before us all jumping at the knock at the door. I stand up and fix my shirt.

"I'll get it." I walk to the door and open it to my mom, dad, and...Arther." He smiles at me and I jump at them, wrapping my arms around all of them at once, "Oh, I missed you guys so much. I'm so glad your here." I say pulling away. My mom is tearing up and my dad smiles at me. I step inside and everyone stands up as they walk in. They look around and Einar comes to stand behind me.

"Mom, dad, Arther, this is my husband, Einar." My mom smile warmly and shakes his hand. My dad looks at him.

"You kidnapped my daughter." He looks down ashamed.

"Dad!"

"Yes sir."

"And forced her to marry you."

"Yes sir."

"Dad that's not-"

"And did you rape her as well?"

"DAD! He did no such thing. I love him and we are married."

"I'm so sorry sir, I didn't realize how special your daughter was. But she is the most beautiful, the most special and the most important woman that I have ever met and I would never do anything to harm her again." He looks at with love and shame in his eyes. I wrap my arms around him. My dad smiles, satisfied.

"That pleases me more than anything. Thank you for taking care of my daughter." They shake hands and now is for the hardest person of all. They were enemies before because they worked against each other, and Einar has almost killed him before but I can only hope that my brother can find it in his heart to forgive him. Arther surveys him, his wheels spinning in his head.

"Arther, I never wanted to be apart of that sick organization. I hated every minute of it. I hope you can forgive me for my mistakes." Arther shakes his head.

"There's no need for that." I gasp and hold my breath, "Because I've already forgiven you." Einar smiles and they do what I like to call the "bro hug". I smile widely. I go around the room and introduce everyone to each other and thankfully there's no more intarigating from my father. We all sit on the couch and my father turns to Einar.

"So, what are you doing now, job wise?" He gulps but I interupt.

"Well we've only been here a few weeks and finding a job is really hard. But he's been working really hard to find the right job, we've had no such luck though." Einar squeezes my hand.

"Yea sir, I want to be able to provide for my family but it's been a little challenging."

"Have you looked into the fire station?" We look at Evan.

"Yes, that's right you were just telling me about the need for more firemen at your station." Morgan says. I grin.

"Oh, that would the perfect job for you. Better than being stuck at a desk." Einar nods.

"Yes, that's wonderful. I'll look into that."

"I'll make sure to put in a good word for you."

"Thanks, that would be great." I look around the room at everyone and realize the only people not on the room were Connie, Anne and Jacob. Just then Connie and Anne come in with the cake. They smile and put it on the table.

"Oh, mom, dad, Arther, this is Connie," I say pointing to Connie who smiles and waves a little, "And this is Anne." She smiles and blushes. She's never shy.

"Hello." She smiles warmly and they echo hellos back. I look around again.

"Anne, where's Jacob?" I ask. Her eyebrows furrow together.

"I don't know. I haven't seen him."

"Yea, he's been gone for a while."

"I'm right here." We turn and my mouth falls open when he grabs Connie and puts a gun to her head, "And I suggest you don't do anything or I will kill her." Connie's eyes widen and her lip quivers. Jacob's eyes are dark and evil.

"Jacob what are you doing?!" Anne asks. He smiles an evil, crazed smile.

"I'm sorry babe but leader needs his weapon." Everybody sits, shocked.

"You little b-" He laughs.

"You were so easy to fool. Nobody would suspect the small, nervous computer programer. It was too easy. Even getting you to fall for me. You're too desperate for someone to love you that you didn't care if they were evil and working for your enemy. And know, he's back." His smile widens and the door falls open as people in black and guns come in. And last of all to come in is smiling leader. My fists clench, the cold wanting to take over.

"You're not taking her. Not again." Einar says standing in front of me. Leader laughs and the D.E.A.D. agents go through the whole house.

"We're not taking that witch, no, we're taking the newest member of the family and the one with powers. We're taking the baby."
