Waige (5) [Part 3]

Note from the Author: Hey Guys! Glad you're still reading. That last chapter nothing really Waige happened, so sorry. This one will be different, I promise. And it's really long, so forgive me.

The scene opens with Cabe, Happy, Sly, Toby, and Paige standing in the doorway of the warehouse.
Paige: This is the suspected source of the chemicals used in the bomb.
Cabe: We need to split up and search the warehouse for Monkiezene, then see if we can find clues around there.
Paige: Me, Sly, and Cabe then Toby and Happy. Let's get to searching!
The team splits up and Toby and Happy are walking down the first row of boxes.
Happy: I understand where Paige is coming from. When you got kidnapped, I would've done anything to get you back.
Toby: And I would've done anything to be back with you. Knowing Walter like I know him, he is trying to get away, but with his smarts he wouldn't come back here, right away, unless they had Paige or Ralph or something/someone he loved.
Paige (OC): I can still hear you, and now I'm worried they have Ralph. What if they know he's smarter than Walter?
Toby: Well if they do have Ralph, not saying they do, we can use his schools video footage to see what they look like.
Sly (OC): As soon as we find the monkiezene, I'll set up a surveillance station and look through city footage around the garage and Ralph's school.
Paige (OC): Let's find that monkiezene!

The scene ends with Quintis and Paige's group walking toward the end of the warehouse, there is an opening with boxes labeled "Monkiezene"

Paige: Yes! We found it. Let's get to scanning and searching for our boys.
Sly: Don't you think this is a little suspicious? They left the chemical they used to make bombs, in a warehouse right beside the place they blew up. I think it's suspicious.
Toby: Does seem kind of unusual. Maybe we shouldn't be here. Seems like a trap, I actually thought we wouldn't find it.
There is a quiet beeping noise
Cabe: Is that just me, or is there a beeping noise?
Happy: I hear it, too. We need to run. Now!

The team starts running toward the door and a small explosion is heard, not destroying the warehouse, just the monkiezene section.

Happy: Umm, that's it?
Paige: I guess so.
Toby: That was on purpose, there must have been sensors that let them know that we were in that section.
Cabe: They must be close.
There is a static sound that echoes through the warehouse. The voice that comes through is rough and distorted (obviously altered)
Intercom: Hello, what is left of Scorpion. I hope your skills can still reign supreme without your two smartest assets.
Paige: RALPH!
Intercom: You will have your son and boyfriend soon enough, if you can find them. Be careful, not all that seems, is.
The intercom clicks off and the team tries to regroup.
Toby: I recognize that voice altercation. It's Mark Collins, damn.
Cabe: How the hell is he communicating with us? Didn't you have him put in a mental institution?
Toby: Yes, but he's smart and probably witted himself up to computer usage. From there he could've bribed people to kidnap Walter and Ralph. And hired bomb makers and had them wire sensors into them to time everything. But being the creepo he is, he's probably linked into our comms and listening to our every plan.
Happy: Motions for the team to take their comms out and starts to speak loudly. This spot seems to be clear, I guess we'll go to the LA Hotel and set up shop to try to find Walter and Ralph. She is whispering now. Lets leave. We need to find a stake out.
The team leaves the building and goes to LA Hotel, Paige is used as bait in one room, while Cabe and Toby are in the next room. Happy and Sly are in surveillance in the hotel across the street.
Paige (To herself): Why did this have to happen to us? Why was Ralph involved?
The phone rings, she answers nervously
Paige (into phone): Hello? Who is this?
Phone: I take it you are alone ? They used you as bait? Wow, typical Scorpion. I still have Walter and Ralph, and to get them back. Tell your team to leave. I want you alone.
Paige: Why? What did they ever do to you? Other than put you where you belong. Crazy ass bastard.
Phone: Just do it, I'll see you in 20 minutes.
Paige: You better not have hurt them.
Paige hangs up and goes next door to tell Cabe and Toby what the phone call was about. She tell them to leave and they agree to. They go across the street with Happy and Sly.
Happy: You just left her? You know how crazy Collins is right? Toby you know first hand.
Toby: But he never hurt me, except emotionally. He doesn't have the mindset to hurt anyone physically. And based on how Paige is pacing, (he points toward Paige pacing in the window of her room) she can handle her own.
Cabe: I'm guessing we are about to see, he points toward the hotel entrance where a heavily covered man, with Collins' signature glasses with Ralph and Walter carefully following behind, that's definitely them.
Toby: He didn't want Ralph and Walter as hostages, he wanted their help to get out of the mental institution. Let's hope Paige doesn't kill him.
Happy: If it weren't for the paperwork, I'd say she needs to kill him, it would be a real burden off of us.
Cabe: True that.

We now see Paige sitting on the bed of her hotel room. There is a knock at the door and she opens it. Collins, Walter and Ralph stand in the doorway. Walter and Ralph's hands are tied together and they are very silent, careful to not set off Collins.
Paige: There you are! You agreed at 20 minutes, that must've been an hour ago. I thought you were a genius how can you be late?
M. Collins: I know, but it's hard to escape a high security mental institution in 20 minutes. Did you want your geniuses or not?
Paige: What kind of games are you playing Collins? Why are you being easy?
Collins: As expected you are upset, and I can understand why. I took your son and your boyfriend, violently I might add. But what you don't know is why.
Paige: I don't care why. I just want them back. She is visibly angry and could snap at any moment.
Collins: Now, let me tell you a story. I, Mark Collins, was once part of team Scorpion, me and Walter worked on many things together.
Paige: I already know this.
Collins: Let me finish, waitress.
Now this was the line that sent Paige over the edge. She snapped, she jumped at Collins, nailing him in the temple with her ringed fist. He immediately falls over with a gaping cut in the side of his head.
Ralph: Way to go Mom!
Walter: I've never seen that side of you. Good job.
Paige: Are you guys okay? I was worried sick.
Ralph: We're okay mom.
Paige is holding Ralph in her arms and looking up at Walter.
Paige: Are you okay? I know Mark gets you all riled up and I want to know that you are okay mentally too.
Walter: I'm okay, he didn't really say anything when we were there. He only talked about how he had a hatred for Toby and how if he got out he would try to kill him, but other than that he just asked us to help him escape or he would kidnap the rest of you.
Ralph: We didn't want you guys having to deal with that. So we helped him out, expecting that the police would be here when we got here.
Paige: she is standing now, her hand still on Ralph's shoulder, but know looking Walter in the face. They are on the way. I had the rest of the team call them when they saw you guys come in.
Walter: Let's go back to the Garage. I need to rest.
Paige: she grabs his hand as they walked out of the door. About that, the Garage lost its top half and most of the bottom half in the explosion. You'll have to stay with us for a while.
Walter: Well, I don't mind that. Ralph, we get to study the remains of the Garage, but tomorrow.
Ralph: YAY! Walter, Paige and Ralph head outside and meet up with the police and the other members of the team. Sly takes Ralph to fill out some more paperwork for legal reasons involving Collins, and Cabe goes home to meet up with Allie. Toby and Happy go home to what one can only assume involves a pink flamingo outfit. Walter and Paige head back to her apartment.
Paige: I was really worried. I let some of my actions go without thinking. But it was you, and I couldn't almost lose you again.
Walter: That's how Happy was when Toby was kidnapped. And I understand, since I've fallen in love with you, I see you as my first priority. That let my actions go without much thought, at first I thought it was because you were new, and somewhat inexperienced, but then Toby explained early on that it was love and not the other thing.
Paige: Yeah, I feel it sometimes. When you let me jump out of the plane first, instead of how Sly suggested, for one example. She kind of giggles and squeezes Walters
Walter: It's just, you've affected my EQ so much that I can't keep up.
Paige: Let's see about that.
They are sitting on her couch and she leans over and kisses him. He starts to run his hands through her hair. She is sitting on him now, running her hands through his hair and she stops on his neck.
Paige: I love you. So much, I can't believe you were almost gone today.
Walter: But I'm here now.
Paige leads Walter into her bedroom and leaves him on the bed, she goes into the kitchen and comes back with wine and just a plain button up shirt on.
Walter: I knew you stole it, I couldn't find that shirt anywhere.
Paige: You want to steal it back? She starts toward him, handing him a glass of wine and kissing him on the lips. You ready?
Walter: Oh, yeah.
Paige leans in and pushes Walter closer to the bed.
