Hi again guys! I'm sorry it's been a while. I was volunteering for my school play and had homework so I couldn't write. But I'm going to try and write from now until the end of winter break (the new year) so hopefully lots of content!
Scene opens on the garage, Walter and Paige are talking at the top of the steps. Ralph is working on something with Happy at her desk. Sly is reading at his station. Toby is badgering him and messing up his stuff seeing if he would notice. Cabe and Allie come in
Cabe: Oh good! Everyone's here. Everyone starts to gather around, thinking there's a new case or hopefully some bagels We have some news, grabbing Allie's hand we are getting married.
Paige: Oh! Goodie, how did this happen? I want every detail!
Cabe: I'm going to have to tell you later, we also have a case.
Paige: Ugh, I'm not letting you off this.
Allie leaves and Cabe takes his stance at the head of the group
Sly: What is it now?
Cabe: Nothing good.
Paige: Is it ever anything good?
Cabe: This one is especially not good. The Chinese government suspects the US of spying on their elections. They want us, as independent-American contractors, to check. Meanwhile, the US government accuses China of spying on US military operations and wants us, as US government "employees" to check in on that too.
Walter: I don't see a problem in trying to find both.
Paige: This seems fairly easy, why did you make it sound so bad?
Cabe: I've learned that the same system used for Chinese elections also connects to US military operations, as a base tower or something.
Sly: That's the bad part. If we mess with the US side of things, even though unrelated to the elections, China confirms their suspicions. If we mess with things on the China side of things the US confirms it's suspicions. And the way things are now, war is eminent either way.
Cabe: Exactly kiddo.
Toby: So you're telling me, you got us two cases with two different countries that don't like each other, and if we can't figure out a way to do both of these without the other knowing, we cause war between the two very strong, vital countries.
Cabe: Yes, exactly.
The team disperses into their own little groups, Paige gives Ralph over to the carpool to school and heads to Walter and Sly.
Paige: Can you come with me?
Walter: Sure, Sly can you run the math again? Make sure it's right. Then go talk to Happy and Toby about the process of getting it done.
Sly: Sure thing.
Paige grabs Walter's hand and leads him away from the people. Looking for a place where no one would be able to see them.
Walter: If you want privacy, upstairs is the best place.
Paige: Oh yes, we just need to talk for a bit.
They head up stairs, Paige first, still holding Walter's hand. They go in the door and close it.
Walter: Cabe definitely gets us the difficult cases doesn't he? Smiling that gentle smile he does when he's nervous.
Paige: I think he tries to do this. She puts her hand on his leg and scoots closer to him on the couch.
Walter: Now? We are in the middle of a case. Not moving away, but not getting closer, as he likes her closeness but doesn't know if it's the right time.
Paige: You father facts and data, well I've gathered some information myself. Her hip is touching his hip now. Her hand now closer to the seam of his pants.
Walter: Go on....
Paige: I've gathered that you do some of your best work right after an emotionally stressful event.
Walter: That is accurate. He starts to smile Everything with you is emotionally stressful.
Paige: Oh really? I promise this will be the least stressful thing you do all day.
Downstairs the groups are beginning to finish up their discussions, Paige and Walter have moved into his bedroom 😉😉
Sly: Where are Paige and Walter?
Happy: I saw them going up to the loft.
Toby: Let me go see what's going on. Toby sneaks up the stairs, careful not to make any sounds. Creeps up to the door and peeks in. They aren't in the loft. He opens the door carefully and quietly. Looks around, sees that his bedroom door is closed.
Cabe: Did you find them?
Toby runs back to the doorway
Toby: Yes I did.
Cabe: Well where are they?
Toby: Let me just say, Walt may not have focused on athletics but he's hitting a home run.
Sly: What?
Cabe: Oh, let me handle this.
