Waige (9) [Part 4]

A/N: This part may be really long, just bare with me.

The scene starts as Walter is trying to cover what the team just found, that the ship is Russian and the software they were sent to fix will actually send a nuke into New York City.
Paige and Ralph are trying to help Walter explain that the software can't be fixed.
Walter: I'm telling you, the server can't be fixed.
Colonel: We were told that you guys could fix it. The security of the US depends on it.
Walter: Well who ever told you we could fix it apparently didn't know that it had a high security block that can only be accessed in New York.
Paige: We are trying all we can. We will soon be able to gather more information and tell you what we come up on.
Colonel: Wow! You guys sure made that sound worse than it was. I'll check in on you guys in a few.
Walter: We will see you then.
The Colonel leaves the room. Walter continues to type on his tablet. Ralph opens his computer.
Ralph: So we need to go to New York now?
Walter: No, we just need to figure out how to stop the Nuke attack that could demolish the entire eastern coast of America.
Ralph: Easy! We just need to be able to sneak around the security software.
Paige: You make that sound so easy.
Walter: Maybe he's right, we can sneak around the security if we can get a badge from someone that works in this room of the ship.
Sly: But if the ship isn't actually US military, they won't keep records online. We will have to physically get one.
Cabe: Give me 5 minutes.

Cabe leaves and tries to find someone that works in the server room they are in. Ralph tries to work through things with Sly and Happy while Toby is telling Cabe who to look for. Paige and Walter sneak out into the hallway.
Paige: Hey, sorry about embarrassing you on the plane earlier.
Walter: It's fine, not the first time we've been caught in the moment.
Paige: That is true, I know you remember when I first told you I kissed you? Paige is slowly getting closer to Walter. Her hand raising to grab his bicep.
Walter: Yes, I was kind of shocked. You had kind of planned to leave before that and then you kiss me while I'm asleep.
Paige is really close to him now. She leans up and whispers:
Paige: I couldn't help myself.
Walter doesn't say anything, but he knows he didn't have to. He makes his move and grabs her face, you can tell they've been waiting to do this all day. They are making out now. They back up into the room behind them.
Walter: Are you-- sure -- about this? He says trying not to break the moment.
Paige: Why not?
She smirks, Walter feels this and smiles back against her lips.

They continue the steamy makeout session. After a couple minutes they hear Cabe's voice.
Cabe: I got a badge. Where the hell is Walter?
Happy: I saw him and Paige go down the hallway a few minutes ago.
Cabe: Oh boy.
Cabe starts to walk toward the hallway, carefully stepping not to make them aware of his presence. He steps up to the first door and peeks into the small window on the door.
Cabe: No one.
Cabe moves to the next door (this is the one with Walter and Paige). He does the same thing.
Cabe: Found them. Give me a minute. He knocks on the door. Guys! We need you back in the server room!
Walter: whispering Crap.
Paige: Just a minute!
Cabe: Ok kids. He steps beside the door.

Paige and Walter straighten up themselves and open the door. Walking out.
Walter: Cabe.
Cabe: Walter.
Paige: Cabe.
Cabe: Paige.

The three walk into the server room. Walter continues work on the "case." Cabe pulls Paige aside.
Paige: I guess we aren't much help on this case, right?
Cabe: No, not yet at least. That's not why I pulled you over here.
Paige: What did you need?
Cabe: I know you and Walter have this newfound romance going on, but you've been disappearing during cases.
Paige: I'm sorry about that. It's just, it's hard for us, you know. He's grown, but he doesn't quite understand everything yet.
Cabe: I know kid. Just try to keep it together okay?
Paige: I got it. Good talk.
Cabe: Good talk.

Cabe and Paige walk back into the server room.
Walter: We got past the encryption!
Ralph: Now we must find where the nuke launch sequence is.
Walter starts to scroll through the lines of code.
Sly: Stop! There it is.
Walter: Great going, sly!
Ralph: Wait, it just changed. The sequence just changed.
Walter: What the?
Sly: The sequence went down two digits a piece. That could mean that the time sequence went down two seconds, minutes, or hours.
Paige: Wait, there's a time sequence? I thought you guys said it was manual.
Sly: We thought it was, but when Cabe went to find a badge Ralph and Happy found a weird code line.
Ralph: It was the time code. It was set for 5 hours from then.
Walter: So worst case scenario, we have 2 hours left before New York gets nuked. Best case scenario we stop the nuke in the next few minutes and report this ship for going against world laws.
Paige: What can we do to stop the timer?
Walter: We need to deactivate a remote button. I have a feeling it's either in the control room or the Russian guy's pocket.
Cabe: Let's hope it's the control room. We are the only ones on our side in this ship.
Happy: Ok so Sly, Toby, and I will go up to the control room and look for the button. Cabe you need to be on standby if we don't find the button.
Ralph: Walter and I can keep an eye on the countdown and notify you guys of any changes.
Paige: You guys head up, we'll be here. Doing our jobs.
The group heads up and finds the control room. There are 3 people in there.
Toby: Umhmm, excuse me do you know where I can find the bathroom?
The lady nearest him leads him into the hall.
Lady 1: It's the 3rd door on the left.
Toby: Could you lead me there? I have a problem with counting.
Lady 1: Sure thing. Follow me.
Toby follows the lady while Sly and Happy go into the control room.
Happy: This is an impressive set up. How fast can this thing go?
Man 1: We really don't know. The boat isn't actually controlled here. It's controlled from land. We are just here to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Happy: Wow. What's this button do?
Happy points toward a large red button in the center of the control panel.
Man 1: We were told not to touch it. Colonel said that it could "ruin the operation" if it was pressed before orders.
Happy: I'm impressed by your set. Can I see the wiring?
Man 1: I guess.
The man opens the cabinet under the control panel. Happy leans under it and mumbles about the wiring. She starts pointing out specific wiring patterns.
Man 1: You are pretty impressive.
Happy: Thanks. You know what would make this set up better, if you unplug this wire.
She unplugs the wire to the button.
Man 1: Why does that make it better?
Happy: It skips the mainframe and makes the system faster.
Man 1: Thanks. That helps a lot.
Happy gets up from the panel and notions toward Sly. Toby and the woman come back in. Sly, Happy, and Toby get ready to leave when...
Man 1: the man is on the phone Yes, there are 3 people up here. A woman and two men. Really, now? Ok. Mission confirmed. Ready for launch.
Happy: Not good.
