Chapter 16

"Lisa you look exhausted take a nap and I will wake you up before we land." Sofia told me. 

"No I am fine." I told her.

--Skipping the plane ride--

We got to LA and we noticed that the sun was still out, Sofia looked at me with shock.

"You said that it would be dark when we got here." She yelled at me.

"I actually wanted to see what you would wear if I didn't tell you about the time zone." I said to her laughing.

"Lisa, I am so going to kill you." She walked towards the luggage picked hers up and went to the bathroom .

 I followed behind her while laughing, I turned my phone on and my notifications blew up. I sat outside of the bathroom waiting for Sofia, I took out my laptop and uploaded my video for the week while that was uploading, I went through my phone.

10 Missed Calls and 30 Text Messages from Richard, Christopher and Erick.

Five new followers and well it's a long list .

Sofia walked out of the bathroom and waited for me to finish uploading the video then we left together to get a cab but when we reached outside there was Joel and his older brother Emanuel waiting for us outside.

"You told him we were here, didn't you?" I asked her

"Yea I wanted to surprise you plus I didn't book the hotel. He told me not too." She said while walking away towards Joel and Emanuel. 

I slowly walked behind, I didn't know he was here... why now? I am so going to get Sofia for this.

"MY POTATO PRINCESS!!!" Joel yelled when I came closer to him. He ran up to me, hugged me and spun me around. I hugged him back and giggled. 

"Hiya Potato King, how you doing?" I asked him smiling. He smiled back and still held me while looking over to where his brother and Sofia were. He looked over to make sure they weren't looking and planted a kiss on my lips. 

"I am so much better now that you are here with me in California." He said.

"You knew Sofia didn't book the hotel and you knew I was going to be here at this time because of her." I told him while struggling to get out of his hold.

He finally let go of me and looked down at me, I could tell this was going to be a way for him to make me choose him.

"Yes, I told her not to because I didn't want you to waste more money when you could use the money for the things you want from California. So don't be mad at Sofia, if you want to be mad at anyone let that person be me." He said then he kissed my forehead. 

"Come on, I know you are tired and its a long drive home from here." He said while taking my luggage from me also took my hand and we headed towards the car.

"Let's go Emanuel, mom might be worried. Sofia sit shot gun and I will ride in the back with Lisa." Joel said while he and his brother put our luggage in the back

Joel opened the passenger for Sofia and Sofia climbed in while Emanuel went to the driver side and got in. Joel opened the back door and let me climb in first and then Joel climbed in. 

Emanuel started to exit the airport, we chatted for a while until I felt my eyes feeling heavy with sleep; Joel noticed and moved the other side of the car.

"Lisa come here, lay your head on my lap and take a nap. Its going to be a long drive home." Joel said.

"No I am fine." I told him

"No you aren't." Joel said while he got comfortable and took his jacket off, handing it to me.

"Put it on or use it as a pillow." He said.

I put the hoodie on and moved closer to Joel and laid my head on his shoulder. Joel moved my legs so they were somewhat onto his lap and put his arm around me. 

"Sleep well Potato Queen." He said and kissed the top of my head.

Withing minutes I was fast asleep and where I really want to be. In California with my best friend and in the arms of the man I love.
