Chapter 37

Richard stayed with me until my panic attack was gone. We both walked out into the living room and headed towards Yocelyn. Everyone was with their partners while I sat at in the corner of the couch. 

I looked around the room and I was glad to be home with my family. 

Joel and Madison were standing on the balcony, laughing at their stories. I am glad Joel found someone like Madison, couldn't have asked for anyone better than her. 

Sofia and Erick look more in love than ever since their engagement and I always knew Sofia would be the first to be married before me.  

Gabriela and Zabdiel were the cutest couple being in the lovey dovey stage still of their relationship.

Richard and Yocelyn were joining time with Aaliyah. They are the most power couple I know. I give them props for a hell of a year, they had. Aaliyah is lucky to have her parents back together.

Christopher and his time of the month girlfriend just seem to be chatting since knowing Chris, he will dump her by the week. 

Yashua sat alone on the counter in the kitchen, I walked into the kitchen and leaned on the door frame.

"Hey...what's up?"  I asked

"nothing and you?" he asked.

"Can I actually talk to you down stairs?" I asked him

"Sure why not." He said still sitting on the counter.

I held out my hand towards him and he only looked at it. I came closer to him and pulled him off the counter, we walked towards the door. We were walking towards the stairs and he slowly followed behind. I stood in front of him and he stopped in his place. 

"What's wrong?" I asked

"Nada niña." He said without looking at me .

"Yashua please stop... Whats wrong?" I asked

"I miss Wendy." he said 

"Then go after her?" I said 

"I can't."  he said

"Yashua if you really miss her like you said you did than you would go after her and win her back." I told him as we kept walking down the stairs.

"You are right but I don't know how to go about it." He said

I stood in front of him again, grabbed his hand and put it on his chest.

"You have to listen to your heart and not your mind at the moment." I told him. "Follow your heart, mi Dominicano."

"You right. I got to stand up for what's right... Especially for Wendy." He said.

"Go get her, tiger." I said as I winked at him.

"You are right.. I gotta go.. I gotta see my baby." He said excitingly.

"But wait I don't have my car keys, I left them upstairs." He said

"Here, I thought you might need these." I tossed his keys into his hands.

"Thank you thank you Lisa. I owe you big time." He said has he kissed my forehead and left.

I giggled and shook my head at him. I felt someone watching me and I looked up.

There he was on my balcony, looking down at me. He watched me give up my best friend to one of his ex's.

I looked back to the ground and headed for the stairs. I got to my floor and there he was standing outside the door waiting for me.

I tried to walk past him to get into my apartment but I failed.. He had his arm around my waist and pulled my towards him.
