The Day That Ruined Me

Riley's P.O.V

*FLASHBACK*

"Aww, look at the piece of shit crying." said Cassy, also known as my worst nightmare and bully.

"Leave me alone, Cassy!" I yelled back. "I never did anything to you and you pick on me.." I pushed my glasses back onto my face because they had slid down to the tip of my nose.

Cassy has bullied me for most of my high school years,I don't do anything about it because Im afraid. She used words that could break a person, and in my case they have. She called me fat and ugly and some words even worse than that. Eventually, I began to believe them.

"I pick on you because its fun of course! And your such a nerd and a freak that you make it easy. Its like your asking for it." With that Cassy flipped her hair, turned around and walked away.

I got up and dusted myself off.. "Why me?" I mumbled. I walked to my group of friends that I had and my boyfriend, Nate.

I hugged Nate and said 'Hi' to my friends. We were on our way to an assembly in the gym, hosted by the cheerleaders also knows as my bullies, some of the football jocks bullied me as well.

*SKIP TO ASSEMBLY*

We all walked into the gym, and I was grabbed by Cassy and her bozo, bo-legged, hair twirling, annoying butt followers. Also known as the rest of the cheerleading squad.

"Let go of me!" I practically screeched.

"Oh no, not yet hun." Cassy said.

"Your the main event of this assembly!" Cassy's wanna-bees all said in unison.

Creepy.. So I decided I couldn't fight them off, so I just stood there with my eyes wide as the walked/dragged me into the gym.

"HELLO EVERYONE!" Cassy shouted.

"Well, your probably wondering why your here.. Well its for this little munchkin over here-" she said while pinching my cheeks. "What she doesn't know is that she's been set up. Come here Natey!"

Thats when Nate walks in and kisses Cassy passionately on the lips. At that point, I think it was possible to hear my heart break. Tears began to stream down my face after witnessing that.

"Well, Nate is my boyfriend who pretended to be your boyfriend so he could get this!" Cassy said while holding up my diary so everyone could see. The tears just kept getting more and more intense. The cheerleaders were holding me back so I couldn't be released so I can take my diary away. I cant believe Nate took it.

Cassy cleared her throat. "Well, here goes.." she said. She got the microphone so everyone can hear.

"Dear Diary, I am so happy because Nate and I kissed for the first time. It was so perfect." she looked at me and laughed at the tears streaming down my face. She continued as I struggled "He is just so cute with his perfect brown hair and green eyes. But I get curious at why he likes me, because Im me and he is him."

She kept reading as I screamed and cried and struggled. Eventually she had read through every page and everyone was laughing at me. Accept my friends. When she was done she threw the book at my face and the girls released my wrists. She mouthed to me the words 'ugly skank' and kissed Nate one more time. I could see them swapping saliva. At that point I was done.

I ran out of the gym doors, out of the school doors and ran home. I ran to my room, and cried. I didn't know what to do. But then I finally realized what I have to do.

I took out a blade and ran it down my skin once more. I became familiar with the pain and I enjoyed it. After that I packed my bags and took a flight to London with the load of cash that was left for me from my parents... I never looked back at my home state of California ever again. Until now..
