Did You Miss Me?

I Promise

He turned over my arms slowly and attempted to take the bandages off but they were wrapped tightly around my arm. Eventually he found the beginning of the gauze and started unwrapping it slowly.

"Edward please stop." I said.

He ignored me and continued to unwrap the bandages.

I went limp because of the lack of movement in my legs and arms.

So, I just resigned to the fact that Edward was going to find out.

He finished unwrapping the bandages and he looked at the cuts.

"Why?" He said.

I didn't answer.

"Why did you do this to yourself?" he asked.

I stayed quiet and looked away from him.

"Riley please talk to me." He pleaded.

"You really want to know why?" I asked but I obviously knew the answer was yes.

"Yes." he said.

"Because Im not good enough. I don't know why I thought I was good enough for anyone. I thought someone actually loved me for once and it turned out to be a lie. I tried, but I still lost. I will loose no matter how hard I try. And when I cut, it dulls the pain." I said. I didn't know I was crying until I felt Edward's hand wiping the tears away.

"You are good enough, you exceed the amount of good there is! You are beautiful and smart, and Nate is an original dickhead for what he did. But don't cry over it because you are so much better. And you don't need him. Pretty girls like you shouldn't cry." He said wiping away the rest of my tears.

"Promise me you'll stop cutting forever?" he asked.

I thought about it. He must of seen me in depth of thought because he spoke.

"I will be here for you. If you feel like your about to cut just scream my name and I'll be there. You could text me too but we live in the same house so it would kinda be unnecessary." He smiled.

"I promise." I say, hopefully I can live up to that promise though.

*THE NEXT DAY*

I woke up feeling alot better than I did before. My friends didn't question me about what happened which was good.

I took a shower and got dressed. I put on my baggy black sweatpants, a one shoulder zebra shirt, a gray sweater and gray Uggs. I put my hair into a messy bun and went downstairs to eat breakfast. I really wasn't in the mood to impress anyone with clothing today.

I got a protein shake from the fridge and walked out of the house. I got into my car and drove off to school. Surprisingly I was the first one to leave the house today.

I got to my locker and got my math notebook, math textbook, science notebook, and 3 blue pens, then walked to homeroom.

I sat down in my seat and the rest of the students piled in. My friends sat near me, and then Nate walked in. He looked at me with an apologetic and longing look on his face. I gave him the middle finger and continued my conversation with my friends.

I didn't really feel upset until Cassy came up to Nate and sat on his lap.

That should be me. Wait what no it shouldn't. Shut up brain!

I wanted to jump out of my seat and slap a bitch so hard..

I guess Corinne noticed because she told me it wasn't worth it. Ugh! I wish I could make him pay for what he did.
