I am coming home today. I said goodbye and thank you to my cousin and I am off. Alot about me has changed..
My brown, naturally highlighted hair now falls past my waist, I grew into my figure if you know what I mean, and I have a new mindset. Im not afraid anymore, I've spent too much time hiding from these people that shouldn't even mean anything to me.
I was taken out of my thoughts when the taxi driver announced that we arrived at my destination. I got out, and picked up my bags from the trunk.
I walked up to my house, and stood there to take it all in. It looks the same, large but comfortable.
I went up to the door and rang the doorbell. To which my mom answered. She looked pleasantly surprised as I walked in.
"MOMMY!" I yelled and engulfed her into a tight hug.
"I thought you would never come back!" she said with tears in her eyes.
"But I am here now." I said.
"Oh look at you, you have grown up so much!" she almost screeched.
"Yeah mom I have." I said.
I heard footsteps and looked over my moms shoulder.
"DAAADDDDDDYYY!" I screamed. Yes I am a daddy's girl, deal with it. I jumped on him and hugged him tightly, to the point that I didn't think that he could breathe. But neither him or I minded.
"Riley, is that really you." he said barely louder than a whisper.
"Yes dad its me!" I said pulling him even tighter. We all had a group hug and caught up on things.
After that I went up to my room. It looked the same from when I left it so has to change. I went downstairs, got paint, buckets, and other supplies.
I painted my room blue, and I lined the doors, and fan with silver. I moved some old beanbag chairs into there and put them around my coffee table. And I changed the sheets to dark blue, and gray/ sparkly pillows. Then, I placed all my teddy bears on the shelf. I placed small Christmas-like lights around my room. Lastly, I placed all my clothes into the closet. Everything looked perfect. But I was extremely tired from all that work.
I walked into my newly painted bathroom and took a shower to wash off the paint and sweat. After I got out of the shower, I got dressed and got into my bed.
