The Pureblood...Demon?!

Prologue Part 4

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

"Hello? Who's ther-... IVY?!?!"

"H-hi Senri... I *sniff* ju-just need a p-place *sniff* to st-stay..."

"Are you alright? Are you hurt?"

"I d-don't know... my chest hurts a lot on the inside. W-Why does it h-hurt?"

"Oh Ivy... just come in for now. You can tell me the story of what happened later, okay? Lets just... get you inside."

"Thank y-you... Senri."

"Come on, this way. Be careful not to make too much noise, my mother is sleeping..."

He takes me by the hand, and begins to quietly drag me to his bedroom. He sits me sideways on the bed and takes his seat across from me, on the same bed. Staring into his light blue eyes, I remember all the times we snuck into each other's rooms. Though we lived slightly far apart, we were both fast enough to get there in less than half an hour. We were always close friends...

"Ivy?"

"Mmm?"

"What happened to you? Where were you the past six years?"

"I-I ran away from the Kurans and happened upon the... the P-Phantomhives. *sniff* They were so k-kind and a-adopted me as one of t-their own, even t-though I was originally their servant..."

"Alright. Then, why are you sad? Why can I only sense you as, well, a human...?"

"T-The Ph-Phantomhive Manor w-was attacked a-and burnt t-to the ground. I couldn't... I couldn't find any survivors..."

"Ivy..."

"When I first was there, I-I didn't want to cause trouble, s-so I hid my vampire aura with the temporary expense of m-my powers."

"Is it possible to undo this seal now?"

"Yes."

"Please do so, it would be bad if vampire's thought there was a human here."

"Alright."

I closed my eyes and focused on the pentagram-flower seal and poured my energy into releasing it. I felt the seal undo and my powers rushed through my body, causing me to buzz with energy. I then felt a 'pop' within me and I instantly felt a lot lighter. Huh, my gravity spell finally released. I think I should feel happy, but, I don't. Why? Why do I still hurt so badly?

"Are you alright?"

"Yes... thank you, Senri."

"Anything for you, Ivy."

I smile at him and lay down on the bed. As I was drifting off to sleep, my last thought was about a certain blue haired, blue eyed boy crying out for me to save him as I just watched him die. Why does the pain come back? Why does my heart squeeze tightly? Could I truly ever be saved from this?

----------Four Years Later----------

"Oi! Give that back!"

"No."

"Why not?!"

"It's mine now."

"Nuuuuuu~"

I watch with teary eyes as Senri eats the last of my pocky. How could he do that?

"How dare you rob me of my pocky! Now for retribution!"

Senri's eye's open wide as he starts backing away slowly as a human would towards a wild animal. Suddenly, he takes off running and I catch up with him in ease.
