Author's Note:

So, there is a large information dump for the non-vampires in Ciel's study as of right now, and there is a lot of talking. I will be providing '()' after each of them speaks with their first letter of their name after they speak in order for you to know who is speaking. I will only do this in the beginning of this chapter as it is hard to tell who is saying what. An example is:

"Yes, children can be quite demanding about their games." (C)

"So, Ivy. Please explain for us, what are you?"

"Well... I'm a vampire."

--------------------

"A what?" (C)

"I do believe she means vampire as in the vampires from ancient myth. Beings who suck blood, are immortal, weak to the sun, improved physical and mental abilities, and unparalleled looks. Though, I would never have thought the legends to hold some truth about their existence." (S)

"Immortal... how old are you, Ivy?" (C)

"I am currently 17 years of age both physically and mentally. I was born a vampire, so I will stop aging once I reach a certain age." (I)

"And what is this age?" (C)

"We normally never know until we just stop aging; but, seeing as I have not aged or matured physically in the last couple of months, I would say that I am no longer going to physically age..." (I)

Ciel put on a distant look, and I could already imagine the many gears turning within his head trying to figure me out. Then, he got a questioning look and asked me a question I hoped he would forget about until a later date.

"So, how did you command the other vampire. That was a vampire we saw in the alleyway, right?" (C)

"Yes that was a vampire in the alleyway..." (I)

"But they had no soul. How come they don't, but you do." (S)

"...If you would cut me off, I could explain. There are three different classes, or ranks, of vampires, and then there is one additional class under them that they do not like to consider a part of their rankings. From weakest to strongest, there is normal vampires, aristocrats, and then purebloods. All of these types of vampires have a soul because they were born vampires and with a soul." (I)

"And what about the one in the alleyway?" (C)

"That was one of the vampires that we other vampires shun. They are considered Level E, with the E standing for end. They are vampires created by a pureblood drinking from a human and letting them live without giving the said human their blood. This causes the vampire to slowly lose their mind and soul and turn into a mindless-beast that attacks humans without care for their blood. We other vampire as well as vampire hunters tend to hunt down these creatures before they can do much harm." (I)

"But, as I recall, these Level Es can not be created without a careless pureblood. Couldn't the purebloods stop their actions?" (S)

"There are already so many Level Es from a certain war that took place a while back that even if none were created for a bit, we would still be hunting for a while. In addition, other vampires obey and basically worship the purebloods, so the purebloods really can't be controlled. The only way a pureblood can really be influenced is by another pureblood or a really strong group of vampire hunters." (I)

"You never answered how you controlled the Level E in the alleyway. Does the ranking have anything to do with it?" (C)

"Yeah... Purebloods are able to command another vampire, and, well, I happen to be one..." (I)
