"Ciel~ So where are we going to start our investigation?"

"Let's start at the most recent crime scene. We'll question witnesses and confirm if our original theory is correct."

"Alrighty then, let's get going!"

With both boys sighing lightly, we head off to where the police were crowding and blocking off a section. We walk up to them and are blocked off by some oldish detective guy. He looked at us with a go-home-nuisances look. Sebby stepped forward and introduced Ciel.

"This here is Earl Ciel Phantomhive, the Queen's Guard Dog. We are here to investigate the recent murders that have been taking place. Here is the Queen's seal."

After looking at Sebby and then Ciel with a shocked face, he let us through. He led us to the body that looked identical to how Adrian explained them, drained of blood and two rushed puncture holes. I could smell the scent left behind from a Level E.

"Ciel, our earlier assumptions were correct."

Ciel shoots me a quick nod in appreciation, and the old detective gave me a curious side glance. Sebby seems to be slightly curious how I deduced it must be a Level E, but he refrains from asking around all of these people.

"Detective, are there any witnesses?"

"None that we can find."

"Tsk. Alright, come on; Ivy, Sebastian."

"Rojer!"

"Yes, my lord."

We followed Ciel away from the scene and walked a little ways away. They turned towards me and gave me slightly curious glances. Sebby spoke up for the two and asked the question that was probably bugging both of them.

"So, how do you know that the bite was a Level E instead of another vampire?"

"Simple, it smelt of Level E."

"Smelt?"

"...I have a great sense of smell now."

"Really, how curious. Now that I think of it, you never did find out your animal form... did you?"

"Psh... noooo... I mean, how am I supposed to know that..."

"...Alright, we should probably start investigating."

"Indeed! I will separate from you both, seeing that we will be able to get more information that way! See ya boys!"

Solution to awkward situation: run away. I speed walked away from them and headed to another part of the market. After a few moments of walking, I slowed down and smoothed down my hair. I tidied up my clothes and approached a small group of human boys my age.

"Hey there!"

" 'sup baby girl."

"Umm... so, I'm kinda new to this town and was hearing about some murders? Is it safe to be out...?"

I fidgeted a little to make my act s little more convincing. I fully planned on playing the timid, new girl. Sure enough, the boys reacted to my act.

"Don't worry about it. The killings only happen at night and to people who are alone. As long as you are with us, we'll keep you safe."

A boy with blond hair, presumably the little group leader, stepped forward and wrapped an arm around my waist. Bro, how is your arm around MY waist going to save me... like, are you even thinking??? Despite my inner thoughts, I forced myself to respond with a light giggle and a small blush.
