I see you comment on my stuff, and you seem so cool. We're friends now.... You don't have a say.
Ron's POV
"Bloody hell." I sauntered into the common room and plopped into one of the chairs, in a daze.
"Whats up with you?" Hermione inquired, peering over her book.
"Potions." I said with a smile. Hermione raised a brow and snorted. "Happy about potions class? Harry, is he alright?" Harry smirked as he took a seat next to me. "Snape switched his seat so he's next to Y/N now."
"Oooooh, I see." Hermione's smirk matched Harry's.
I slid down in my seat, the smile never leaving my lips.
"You really like her, don't you."
"Mhmm." Was all I could respond with, for I was lost in my daydreams about her.
~~~
The next day when I slid into my seat in Snape's class, the nerves kicked in. I was going to have to talk to her every day.
What if I say something stupid! I thought. What if she gets to know me and ends up not liking me?
I looked around the classroom nervously as kids started to file in. I've had a crush on her for quite some time, but it was from afar, really. I never truly had a conversation with her.
I squeezed my eyes shut as the cringy memory of our first "conversation" flooded to my brain.
~"Hey, Ron!" I whipped around and saw Y/N waving at me, and my eyes widened. Y/N knew who I was, she was saying hi to me! My tongue was tied, and my brain blanked. "I-er-h-hey, Emi-Y/N, I need to tell you something!" The words flooded out of my mouth, I had no control over what I was saying. She walked over to where I was standing, and my heart began to beat even faster. "What is it?" She asked, blowing away a few strands of hair that fell in her face. Godrick, she was so beautiful. She stood there for a moment or two, waiting for me to say something, and I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks. "I-I just wanted to say, erm, hi." She simply giggled softly and bit her lip. Merlin, she really was so beautiful. "Hello, Ron." She said, teasingly. She gave me a playful wink before walking off to catch up to her friends.~
"Bloody hell." I buried my head in my hands in embarrassment, wanting to wash away that memory forever.
"I've only just sat down and you're already disappointed." I looked to my left to see Y/N unpacking her bag. I felt myself get choked up, not knowing what to say. She looked over at me to see my shocked expression and rolled her eyes. "I was kidding, Ron, don't freak out."
I blew out a nervous breath. "Yeah, of course. Why would I have any reason to."
Y/N's POV
As soon as Snape waltzed into the room, I already turned my brain off. I can't handle this class, its so boring. I looked to my right and smiled. I did have something in this class to keep me awake, however, or should I say someone. Ron was tapping various patterns on the table, clearly just as bored as me. I sighed happily as I stared at him. He was so cute. And so kissable...
Ron turned around and caught me staring. I nervously looked away and I felt my cheeks heat up. God, I hope he didn't think much of it. I sneaked a peek of him out of the corner of my eye to find him simply staring at his desk instead, his eyes beginning to droop.
He's so adorable-
"Ms. Y/L/N." I snapped my head up to see Snape glaring darts at me. "If you don't mind, I would prefer you to pay attention to my class instead of Mr. Weasley." A couple kids giggled and I felt my face got hot. "Yes, sir." I mumbled, my eyes glued to the floor. I slowly looked to my right to see Ron, his back completely towards me. A wave of sadness fell upon me. I completely embarrassed him, I thought, he probably won't want to talk to me anymore. I sighed and rested my chin on the desk, trying my best to concentrate.
