She snuggled closer to the source of heat that surrounded her. As her eyes fluttered open, she couldn't help but wonder if she had really died and gone to Heaven. She was enveloped by a thick duvet and a really, really, really good-looking guy was holding her. She had fit perfectly into the crook of his neck.

Nick had long fallen asleep, at peace with the fact that his mate was sleeping and not dead. The light snores proved that she was comfortable and warm enough, and for once, Nick had felt complete. She felt like a puzzle piece that Nick had never known he was missing until he found it.

He had held her tightly and placed a kiss on the crown of her blonde head before falling asleep himself.

As Ali stared at this fine specimen of a being, she couldn't believe if this was real or if it was a dream. To test the theory, she poked his cheek. The sparks that she had felt when her finger made contact with his cheek shocked her. He only held her tighter. When she poked him a second time, a frown was etched onto his perfect face. Ali thought that someone so beautiful shouldn't look so unhappy.

As Ali tried to get out of his embrace, she found herself struggling. Since they were on an armchair, her legs were dangling over the armrest, and to move her legs, she would have to move her butt. And if she moved her butt, she would wake him up.

She didn't want that, he looked too peaceful. So very slowly, Ali lifted one leg at a time and felt for the floor. She gently pried the stranger's arms off before she got up in swift movement. Thankfully, he was still sound asleep. He must've been very tired to have slept through her wiggling about. Ali covered him up with the duvet and padded around the room, which she assumed was his. She opened a door and walked in.

It was a bathroom. That much was gathered from the huge tub, shower, mirrors and sinks. The stranger had helped her take off her red hood, but she was still in her favorite white dress — which was more than a little torn and dirty from walking through the forest yesterday. As she looked in the mirror, she realized that her blonde locks were slightly disheveled and she was still rather pale.

She splashed warm water on the face to wake herself up and walked out of the bathroom to find the perfect stranger still fast asleep. Ali allowed herself to sit Indian style on the rug in front of the stranger to admire his god-like features.

She stared at his long eyelashes that seemed to touch his perfectly sculpted cheek bones, tousled brown hair, plump lips and chiseled jawline and came to the conclusion that he was probably the most beautiful person she had ever seen. For some reason, she found her heart beating faster every time she looked at him. She didn't know why but she liked it. The effect he had on her was addictive and she didn't mind it all.

While being captivated by the stranger's good looks, Ali didn't notice the tiny white kitten creeping on her. She let out a startled yelp as Snuggles jumped into her lap and looked up at her, adorably.

Its blue eyes were so clear and its fur as white as snow. Alison giggled when Snuggles made a cat like smile as she mewed. "You warm enough, Snuggles?" she asked as she scratched the kitten's neck. It purred in delight and Alison found herself laughing again.

Nicholas thought he was still in his dream when he heard a musical giggle and a voice that sounded so angelic and so unreal. He opened his eyes to find his blonde angel scratching a tiny white kitten. Even though wolves never got along with cats — being that they were kind of like dogs — he thought that if she liked cats, he would too because that image of her was perfect.

She was so beautiful and Nick wondered what he had ever done to deserve an angel like her. Her blonde hair gave off a shine as the sunlight that streamed through his windows landed on her. Her blue eyes, like a vast ocean full of never-ending possibilities. Her pink, full lips that looked so inviting.
