Following the realization that Alison had been taken by a rogue, Nick went back to the pack house and destroyed everything in his line of sight out of rage.

If Elliot hadn't stopped him, he was sure the house would've crumbled down to the ground by now.

After that, Nick went straight to Henry's room, determined to punch the hell out of him. Henry was supposed to be Alison's protector. Nick had specifically instructed him to look over Alison while he went on the mission to capture the rogue roaming in his territory, but it seemed like good 'ole Henry had failed in his task.

The first thing Nick did when he finally found Henry was drag him down to the basement where they kept their prisoners. He had beat the hell out of him while demanding he answered his questions on why Ali had been captured even though he had ordered him to look out for her.

And once again, Elliot had stopped him before he could kill the man.

Henry explained that Ali had asked him to watch out for Cassandra instead, and he had obeyed. But Cassandra had bribed him and said that she didn't need someone hovering over her while she toured the grounds. And so accepting the bribe, he left his post and duty.

Needless to say, Nick felt that he was deserving of a punishment for his incompetence, which was why he had stripped Henry of his title as a protector.

There had been many curious stares from the pack members during his violent episode and after they saw him drag one of their pack warriors to the basement, but he could've cared less what they thought at that point.

All he needed was his angel back in his arms, where she was safest. He missed her scent, missed seeing the stars in her eyes, and missed the way she smiled when she was talking about something she really liked.

He missed her and he just wanted – no, needed – to know that she was okay.

Which was why Nick was personally paying Alpha Michael of Shaded Dawn a visit this very fine morning after a sleepless night of pacing in his room.

He was running at full force towards Shaded Dawn territory. Going slow was not an option in this situation. Nick had left his beta in charge of the pack while he went to Shaded Dawn to confront Cassandra Jameson. He brought along two of his pack warriors in case anything happened on the way.

Approaching the border of Shaded Dawn, Nick slowed down at the sight of the patrollers. He immediately shifted, and so did his two companions.

"Alpha Nicholas, what brings you to Shaded Dawn?" one of the patrollers asked him, both of them respectfully bowing.

"I need to talk to your Alpha now. Tell him it's an emergency and it's something that he's going to want to hear about," he said, surprisingly calm – the kind of calm you would describe as the calm before the storm.

The patroller's eyes glazed over and Nick knew that meant he was communicating with his Alpha.

"Please come with me, I will be taking you to our Alpha," he informed them after his eyes had returned to their normal state.

Dressing quickly, Nick and his pack warriors followed closely behind the patroller towards the pack house.

Along the way, he smelt remnants of Cassandra's scent and that made him feel sick, thinking about how she was in his room when Ali walked in. The look that would've been on her face when she thought that he had replaced her with her cousin, he could imagine seeing the trust and bond that they had formed over the past few weeks shatter in her eyes.

It was the same way he would imagine his heart shattering if anything ever happened to her.

Nick wished that Alison hadn't believed what was right in front of her, but he couldn't blame her for that. After all, he had a reputation and the 'evidence' had been right in front of her. Still, he wished things had turned out differently.
