Let It Go

Mindy's P.O.V

"Wake up Mindy love." A voice broke through my sleepy haze.

"Come on Mindy, you need to get up." The voice repeated again.

I didn't want to open my eyes. I just wanted to sleep forever until everything was over. I wanted to wake up in a place where nothing could go wrong. I scrunched my eyes closed tightly begging myself to fall back asleep. I felt a nudge on my shoulders and I groaned loudly.

"Leave me alone."

"You're going to have to face reality sometime Miranda." Louis said as he finally yanked the covers off me.

I knew he was right, but I wasn't ready. I opened my eyes slowly and took in my surroundings. I was laying on my living room couch and Louis Tomlinson was standing before me with what looked like a cup of tea in his hands. His clothes were wrinkled slightly and the mess of hair told me he had fallen asleep with me. He looked down at me and gave me a weak smile before handing me the cup tea.

"Morning." I muttered after straightening up and taking a sip of the warm tea.

"It's five in the afternoon Miranda." Louis chuckled as he sat next to me.

"How long have I been asleep?"

"About ten hours, although it feels like I've only slept for ten minutes."

I nodded in agreement and we sipped out tea in silence. The air was heavy with questions niether of us wanted to answer. I knew we were going to get to that eventually, but for now I wanted to avoid it as much as possible.

"I'm going to take a shower." I announced setting my half empty cup of tea onto the table.

Maybe a shower would help me sort out everything that was whirling around in my mind. I grabbed a towel and a change of clothes and stepped into the bathroom. I avoided the mirror because I wasn't ready to face what was going to be look back at me.

**

The shower definitely didn't help. Three or four times I was about to burst into tears because I kept thinking about him.

I was always thinking about him.

By the time I had gotten out of the shower and downstairs to where Louis was waiting for me I was a nervous wreck. My eyes were red but not a single tear had left my eyes. When Louis saw me he just held me in his arms and let me cry.

"You wanna tell me what's going on now?" Louis whispered after a little while.

"Not really."

"You have to tell me, I hate seeing you like this."

"If I tell you, you have to tell me." I bargained with him remembering the way he looked when he cried to me last night.

He didn't look as eager to find out anymore but he agreed and waited for me to start first.

I told him about how Liam took me to his mom's house, how he was so sweet and just plain perfect. I told him about how he sang me the song, and I told him about how I ran out like a coward.

"Why hasn't he come and knocked down your door?"

"I told him that I never loved him." My voice broke as I remembered the look on his face.

"Why the fuck did you do that?!" Louis exclaimed looking at me harshly.

"I don't know! I was scared."
