MINDY'S P.O.V

I was in a daze for half the day, I didn't understand what had happened the evening before. I remember laying on my bed and touching my face. I could still feel his fingers on my cheek, brushing it lightly. His touch was so soft, it felt...perfect. I shake my head in exasperation letting out a sigh, I really didn't want to have Liam constantly on my mind, he confused me way too much.

"I didn't know Sammi Peazer and Liam Payne were friends! Look." Ciara grabs my arm stopping my thought process and pointing over to the courtyard.

To my surprise, there she was, standing there, talking to Liam Payne. He wasn't even talking back, he was ignoring her trying to get her to get away from him but she wasn't having any of that. I don't know whether I was happy that he didn't want her near him of angry because she was standing so close to him almost touching him, but not quite.

"Just let it go Ciara we need to get to class." I huff as I turn my face away from their direction and begin moving down the halls.

I didn't even bother making sure Ciara was behind me. I walked with my head down and my mind in another world. The memories of my time with Liam yesterday were flooding me. He seemed like he was actually enjoying something. I smiled silently to myself. It seemed like a little secret that only we shared. I hadn't told anyone and Liam doesn't seem like he was planning to tell anyone. I was walking, not looking where I was going. I didn't notice the figure in front of me until I bumped into them and dropped my books.

"You always seem to be lost in thought Ryker." The body's voice chuckles.

I look up and come face to face with Liam. I squeaked as I jumped back creating more distance between us and bent down to pick up my planner along with my Calc book. I stood back up and brushed my jeans quickly and fixed my shirt, to my surprise he was still standing there watching me a amused expression on his face.

"Can I help you with something Payne?" I lift up my eyebrow in question.

"Actually, I can help you with something Ryker. Remember you need to practice that music piece that Mrs. O'Neil gave you, so I should probably help you with it. When do you finish class today?"

He was oddly cheery, it was really confusing. I just saw him acting like a snake towards Sammi, and now he is talking to me and smiling. What was he playing at? I thought we were meant to hate each other, right?

"Um, meet me in the courtyard at 3 then."

He nods and turns on his heels and walks away. I stand there in utter confusion, he seriously confused me so much...why was he acting so nice? And why did I like the feeling he gave me when I looked into his eyes? I look down at my Calc book and decide to stuff it back in my bag and sit on the benches outside. It was a lost cause going to class now, I hadn't been paying attention all day and I probably wasn't going to be able to learn anything by just sitting there.

I see Zayn sitting against a tree with a sketchpad resting on his knees. A cigarette was resting on his right ear and a black pen was in his hand. He was moving it across the white surface in such concentration and his eyebrows were furrowed in the middle as he concentrated. I walk over and sit beside him quietly as I pull out my journal and a pen. I look over and see the shapes of a girl being created onto the paper.
