Caleb's POV:

When I first saw her I thought I was dreaming. As I peered through the window of the store that she worked at, I saw a beautiful girl working hard.

Her long black hair went down to her waist and with her head ducked she began to lock and put things away. Feeling as though in a daze my body moved forward and opened the door and ushered me in.

"Sorry I am about to close. Can you please come back tomorrow?" She mumbled while fumbling to look for something.

"Actually I am here to apply for the opening as a employee," I said feeling extremely foolish.

She looked up for a split second and I got a glimpse of her piercing blue eyes. They flashed some confusion and anger, but it was gone like that and those pretty blue eyes hardened hiding away everything inside. From that moment I knew that I would do anything to break down that wall.

**********

I watched her face as she read the note. Her face was calm and collected, but I could see where she had been crying.

Did I make here cry? I asked myself uncertainly.

I didn't pay attention in class, in fact I don't even know what the teacher had said at all. I couldn't get her out of my mind. She haunted my every thought with her beautiful long black hair and bright blue eyes. Not only that though. Her standoffish personality showed her as strong and not as weak which filled me with respect for her wall but at the same time frustrated that she wouldn't let me in.

RIIING!

The bell rang signaling the end of class and with a sweep of my hand I swept everything on my desk into my backpack and I practically ran out of the classroom only to stand by the door waiting for her to come out.

I watched as she peeked out the door before she carefully stepped out and began to walk towards the choir hallway. Quiet as a mouse I began to follow her down the hall. She seemed to be walking slowly even though I knew she had no reason to fear choir. She had a amazing voice full of passion and emotions, but it seemed like she was trying to avoid that class.

Before long the hallway had cleared out and she stood by the door of the choir room with her uncertainty visible. My instincts seemed to kick in and I did something I never would have done with anyone else.

I trapped her in a corner by the door and gently lifted her face to mine. Staring into those beautiful eyes I bent down and pushed my lips on hers.

At first she tried to struggle and then she gave in.

I pulled away and looked her in the eye.

"I am not sorry for kissing you, but I want you to get this in your head: I will break down that wall, so instead of fighting how about we start by talking to each other?" I murmured quietly.

"OK," was her small reply as she pushed me away and went into her class.

Breathing in relief at still being alive I went to band with a light heart and a smile on my face.

Finally we're getting somewhere.
