Caleb's POV:

I was so amazed at her story that for a few minutes I couldn't even speak. It explained a lot about her. Why she hid everything inside. Why she was always alone, even though she claims to have a friend.

Listening to her talk I realized she must trust me enough to tell me all this, but what puzzled me the most was why she came back here.

"Can I ask you a single question? I swear I won't ask any more after this," I say stopping what I was doing to look at her.

"Cathy, Caleb its time to close up!" Marty screamed from the other room.

She smile at me and stood up to go shut things down. I stood up and began to help her close shop and when we had finally finished we stood outside of the shop and stared at the door.

She shakily reached up her hands and then she fainted. Luckily, every part of me was NOT being clumsy for once and I caught her before she hit the ground. I picked her up and held her bridal style and quickly locked up the shop.

Still holding her, I grabbed our bags and began to walk to the abandoned apartments.

I knew where she lived, but before you say stalker let me explain.

Unlike her, I grew up in a orphanage and when you live at a orphanage you get kicked out when you turn fourteen which was three years ago for me. So I lived on the streets until I came here.

Honestly I was following Cathy the first night that I met here, but for good reason! Don't roll your eyes at that! Well anyway, after seeing all these empty apartments, I chose one for myself. One near her of course. So there not stalking, just 'looking for a place to live'.

I took her up to her apartment and put her on her bed. After resting her head on the pillow, I reached down and touched her pretty face.

Her beautiful blue eyes flashed open as she stared into my face.

"What are you doing here? How did you know where I live?" She asked sitting up and looking around.

"I live in the apartment two doors down," I replied as she took in the information.

She nodded to let me know that she was OK with that information even though her eyes were wide with shock and fear.

"Do you need something?" I asked her leaning my body against the door frame.

She shook her head and I turned to leave.

"No stay," her sweet voice pleaded with a hint of panic making me turn around and walk towards her.

She patted the side of the bed where she was laying down and motioned for me to come lay beside her. I walked slowly feeling unsure, but not wanting to say no. I laid down beside her and she curled up next me and before I knew it she was fast asleep. I grinned at her small body and wrapped my hands around and made myself comfortable. Before I knew it I fell into a deep peaceful sleep.
