Henry's POV :

*3 years back.*

Rainy winter morning, cold breezes and my first day to Fortitude Middle. Life never got better or made any difference to me by any new variation in life. I switched several schools before joining Fortitude.

My mother died due to an electric shock when I was 7. I saw her dieing in front of my own eyes. I lived in a joint family along with my parents, 2 uncles and their families. Their was always a hole in my heart for mom which was impossible to be ever filled by anybody.
I hung out with different girls and talked to them. I always acted cool but nobody knew how lonely I was deep down there. I always awaited with impatience for someone to come and fill that hole and make me feel complete. That someone could be a good friend or an ideal partner.

I stepped in the hallways from where I could hear children screaming their lungs out and teachers were no where to be found. It was the middle of the first term and the final year of the middle school. I didn't hope to make any good friends, I just wanted to get away with middle school as fast as possible so I could have a good and comfortable life in high school with some new and good friends.

I reached my classroom and knocked the door. I kept knocking for like a full 15 minutes but all I could hear was boys and girls chattering. I pushed the door open and suddenly their was drop dead silence in the air.
All the heads turned around to look at me with the shock on their faces as if I was that Joker from the Batman Movie and I had come to kidnap them.

After a whole two minutes a boy stood up. He was a tall boy with dark hair.
"Hey, I'm Luke Bryan. Welcome to Fortitude and Grade 9 Middle School. Ummm, can I have your name?"
He sounded like a sensible and kind person. Unlike other guys who wanted to scare me by their weird reaction.

"Henry William." I answered.
"Okay. You may have a seat next to Aaron. It's empty. Hope you have a good time here."

While that guy was speaking all that, I noticed a girl constantly giving him death glares. That girl seemed beautiful but somewhat dangerous. It wasn't really a good idea to even think about talking to her.

I grabbed a seat next to that guy named Aaron and behind us were seated that girl and her friend.

"Hey. New boy." Somebody patted my shoulder.
"Yeah?" It was that girl next to the other girl who was giving death glares to that Luke. Okay whatever.
"I'm Alicia. And she's Rosie." She pointed towards that girl who was extremely busy with her work and was trying her most to avoid talking to me.

"Ignore her attitude. She is that way. So where are you from Henry?"

"I belong to Bermingham, UK."

"So how come you shifted to California?"

"My uncles had to set up their business here."

"What about your parents?"

"Attention class." Luke interrupteded. "Mr. Peter won't be coming today as he is busy preparing for the annual sports day. I will be in charge of you all so kindly, behave."

He passed a smirk to Rosie and she rolled her eyes. Whatever was up between these two was completely wierd.

"Aaron. Can we switch seats? I want to interact with this new guy." Alicia passed a smile to me while conveying this.

Something about her was special. Why was she so interested in me?

"There is no way any guy is coming to sit next to me." Rosie snubbed Alicia.

"Rosie what's wrong with you."

"Rosie Rosie Rosie." Luke spoke while writing Rosie's name in the register.

"What the hell Luke Bryan you don't even know-"

"Shushhh. I never asked you what's wrong."

"But-"

"There is no way you are going to argue with me." Luke said in a loud pitch.

Rosie rolled her eyes and left her seat and sat with another girl who had a big smile plastered on her face.
Alicia switched seats with Aaron and sat next to me.

"So? You were telling me about yourself. Where are your parents?"

"Mom died when I was 7. Dad lives in South Africa. He has his business set up there."

"Oh right. That's sad. So do you have friends?"

"Not really. I switched way too many schools and never stayed with a certain group of people for a long time. So."

"Oh. Don't worry we can be friends." Alicia passed a smile to me. Her smile gave me that hope that not everybody is as bad as I thought.

"Do you act the same with everyone? Or is there something special in my case?" I joked.

"Well, I'm a girl who stands up for everybody whose breaking. And I saw that lonliness in your personality."

All my life I had faced so many hardships and struggles but this girl had something in her that made me forget everything. All that I faced in the past finally found a way to go out.

Eventually, I fell in love with Alicia.  She was the girl I would do anything to keep. She was brightened my life and made it more colorful.  We would spend time together after school, we met at the carnivals and water parks, we hung out at the restaurants and chatted for several hours on call.
I planned to soon confess all my feelings to her.

But that day. He ruined everything.  He took away my everything.  He pushed me back into the hell hole from which Alicia dragged me out.
He told her that there was a long list of girls I hung out with in past.  Just because he wanted her. He liked her too. But I loved her. I never felt so good about anybody as I felt for her. But he destroyed everything.

Alicia came to me that afternoon after school and insulted me for being a jerk. He told her that I would only hang out with her for a while and then leave her behind, stepping on her heart.

Alicia stopped talking to me. She began maintaining a distance. She made a permanent consolidation of distance between us two. This broke my heart for the first time after my mother left me.

That boy was on the top of my hate list. The boy was Luke Bryan. That day, I decided that I would make him feel exactly the same about everything. I would never let him get the girl he would fall in love with.

*Present.*

As we graduated to high school, I somehow contacted Alicia and cleared my position. She believed me after a several different attempts. We gradually became friends and then I confessed her. She accepted and we're madly in love now. In the meanwhile, I found out about Luke and Rosie. I didn't really had time to do anything about that as I was busy establishing a strong foundation of love between me and Alicia but as soon as I found out about their break up, I decided that I would make it worse.

Luke Bryan. I won't let you breathe. And I know that would only happen if your Rose is pulled away from you. I grinned.

Henry is still holding onto grudges against Luke and is trying to make things worse. But who will win in the end, Luke's true love or Henry?
