Phoenix Burns (FairyTail)

~Chapter 5~

~Lucy's Pov~ 

I was confused on Levy her eyes showed she was confused and in deep thought as it was turning to sunset. I had help with healing magic when I could. Using the great Phoenix magic put pure pain and drain onto my body since I haven't turned into a Dark Phoenix. Levy was soon walked over with Leroy as part of the shield around the temple blew up causing great pain in my chest as I looked up to see it was black flames destroying the shield. "GET THE PEOPLE SOMEWHERE SAFE" I ordered the guards as they listened.

I got up rushing to the shield edge with Levy and Leroy and some guards to see him. The Dark Phoenix who made me cause my sin. He called himself Jason. he had short black hair, orange glowing eyes and was wearing a black top with grey bottoms. "We meet again Miss Heartfilla" he spoke smirking like crazy as his job was to turn me into one of his kind. Dark and evil. "Get Levy somewhere safe" I ordered Leroy as him and Levy looked at me shock. "LUCY NO" Levy shouted but Leroy picked her up and rushed off.

I heard her shouting for him to stop as Leroy knew who Jason was. He, Levy and Zeref were the only ones who truly knew. "Shall we dance like 500 years ago?" he asked black flames all around him as I made my whip show in my hands. "No....I won't cause a sin like that again" I spoke as he smirked more rushing at me fast as I moved jumping high into the air slashing my whip at him as it was glowing blue with yellow lightening going around it. I was able to hit him pushing him backwards. 

I lifted my hand sucking the black flames before they spread into my body. "You've learnt from the Black Wizard huh? Is that why you are his pet?" Jason asked as I noticed the reborns of my friends watching. The Natsu one wanting to join in. My heart was wondering was they reborns or was they really my friends from the past? "Lord Zeref is a good friend who saved me from you, I can never repay him enough for stopping you before" I spoke landing on the ground as Jason laughed.

"Ah yes but he didn't get there in time now did he, what was that guild called again? Fairy Tail wasn't it?" Jason asked as I froze slightly looking at him. "I wonder did you ever tell them what really happened to you when I kidnapped you? Or did you hide it like my spell made you?" he then asked moving toward me as I was slightly frozen my hand holding my whip shaking. If I had only told them the truth. If only I wasn't weak and scared. "You didn't well then you spared them from a painful death" he spoke laughing.

He made his own whips in his hands as I took a deep breath. "I cannot let you destroy everything I have done, I won't let the past repeat itself" I spoke harshly moving my whip clashing it wit his two as each time they clashed flames were building around us, not burning the building but moving around us making protective shields. "You have gotten stronger but you have used Phoenix magic making you weaker, I wonder how does it feel knowing you killed Fairy Tail, Sabertooth and the other Fiore guilds?" he asked loudly laughing.

He was playing with my emotions. Making me remember the painful past. My eyes watering from so. My whip was blasted out my hand as both my wrist then got grabbed by his whips pulling me toward him. "PHOENIX BOND" I shouted the chant as Jason froze up as a flames of gold shaped as a Phoenix came out my body and flew as Jason hitting him badly making him let go of the whips as they fell to the ground even the pars that were holding my wrist. I was taking deep breaths as the shield was building back up. 

"I don't have much left to live for, I have Lord Zeref, Levy and Leroy.....my last set of family" I spoke my eyes closed as I moved toward Jason who was frozen screaming in pain. "You are right, I caused the death of so many, it is my fault Fiore lost the war, it is my fault humans became slaves and nearly died out, it was my fault Levy is stuck with a stupid curse like myself" I spoke tears building up in the corners of my eyes as I opened my eyes to see Jason on his knees in front of him. Look at me with a glare while in great pain.

I felt blood coming out my nose pretty fast and badly. "I may no longer be human, I may be Lord Zeref's pet......but as long as Levy is happy, alive and not suffering from what I have done to her.......I will keep fighting for her sake" I spoke my hand moving to be right in front of Jason's face. "Yet you don't understand....what you have become Lucy Heartfilla......" Jason spoke as I smiled tears going down my face. "I know what I am......a monster" I answered as James burst into golden flames as the Phoenix shape flames came out of him and back inside of me.

"I will return, you know this won't stop me Heartfilla" he snapped vanishing with the golden flames as I fell backwards being caught in the arms of the reborn Natsu. He was looking at me worried as I blacked out. Feeling warm and human again being in his arms much like the feeling I got when Lord Zeref was around me....He still saw me as a human......
