Jasmine gets home to see the lights off, she enters flips the light switch and dumps her bag on the couch.
"Mum am home!", she shouted to her mom, she heads to the kitchen and sees a note hung on the fridge by fruit like a magnet.
"Jasmine dear, am out to buy
some groceries from the store
be back on time for dinner, if
you get too hungry and can't
wait food is in the fridge"-Mum
Jasmine squeezes the paper and throws it to the trashcan near the counter. She heads to the refrigerator, gets herself chocolate ice cream, and some chocolate chip cookies.
She runs up the stairs two at a time and walks into her room, jumps on her bed, and places the plates on the desk. She grabs her phone and starts to chat with Gabriella.
"Hey, Jas" Gabriella sent with a smiley face.
"Hey, sorry we didn't get to talk this morning" Jasmine apologized waiting for the next message to pop up.
"Austin told me to tell you that you should forgive him", was her next message as Jasmine stares at her phone " Jas, you still there?" Gabriella asked after the beep got Jasmine's attention.
"I have to go sorry Gab." She replied to her curious friend.
"Why? but-".
"Sorry Gab can't hear you", she sent sealing the room for no arguments.
Jasmine picks up a chocolate chip cookie and throws it into her mouth. She glances at the alarm clock on the desk and sees 9:00 pm.
Why wasn't her mum back? What was taking her so long? Jasmine wondered as she threw herself out of the bed and headed to her closet to get a black hoodie sweater and a black backpack.
Praying nothing bad had happened she gets downstairs jumping two stairs at a time she goes to the drawer in the kitchen counter and brings out a mini first aid kit, she stuffs it into her backpack and zips it up.
She heads to the garage, mounts her bicycle, and begins to paddle away. She needed to find her mom and fast. She heads to the one place they but their groceries " Walmart".
